Anybody else who writes normal 'texts' like me?

I do, always have done. and now, with my iphone, its far easier to use proper words and type like im doing just now because it has a proper qwerty layout for texting.

I dont mind reading texts that people send me, its not like i have to spend a lot of time decyphering it, if you do, you have more problems than the people sending the text. i just prefer to do mine in english.

I do, with full grammar and spelling.

Can't stand text type.

Exactly the same. Means half my messages are 2 texts long though, so i pitty those with **** old phones.

Girls seem to find it really rude though, as I tend to use entirely proper spelling and grammar without a stupid amount of X's after it, although they seem to deal with it.

I shorten in xbox live or any other time when typing with a controller.

When texting, it's a case of if it goes just onto the second text, I'll go back and drop things. You->u too/two/to->2 for->4 are->r your/you're->ur isn't it->init... some of the first things to go are apostrophes, since they don't reduce readability: only accuracy.

The more it goes onto the second text the worse it gets, but since I got a phone with a monthly text limit rather than just whatever i topped up with I'm a lot less bothered about using more than 1 (I never use them all anyway)

On msn/any sort of computer work I actually find it faster to type the whole thing out, because I don't have to think about it at all, and my hands are practiced at typing common words anyway.

I figure it actually takes longer for the sender to encode and type the message, then the recipient to read it and decode it, and I'm fast enough at typing anyway. My hands can practically keep up with my head, which is more than can be said about my handwriting.

i do when its a long message and i dont want to send 2 messages, i do the usual ones like m8 but i dont do many other if i dont need to

I hate text-speak. Overheard the following conversation on the bus the other day.

Chav 1 (texting): How d'you spell 'teased'?
Chav 2: Dunno... 2-s-d, innit?

Plus I've always used predictive text which punishes you for not spelling properly, and now I have an iPhone so entering numbers means switching the keyboard.

To the people saying ''Its because your old'' I'm 20 years of age and i write texts with correct spelling and grammer and have been doing so since i started texting. So clearly its not an age matter.
