Anybody up for encoding an AVI experiment?

Surely this is just another CPU test, so you should provide the program people should use aswell as the file to be done.

Else this is just showing how good some programs are with CPUs, which is more a software thing than hardware.

Total time to encode to dvd using ConvertxtoDVD 2.2.2.256 using highest quality settings is 27 seconds.

Core 2 Duo E4300 @3.1ghz
Seems this version of convertxtodvd is a lot faster than previous ones.
 
thing is who converts such a small file most files i convert from avi to dvd are 700mb what is your time for converting such a file? this would be very useful for me as im in between upgrading cpus and want to know if its worth it.
using nero 7 takes 38 mins on average with chapters and all in.this is with a 3800x2 am2 how much difference would a 6000 make to these times . is there a nero vision benchie anywheres.
 
Great thread i always thought vso one was good but i never knew about winavi and how much faster it is and going to deffo look into the ati one too.
