Anyone else almost wish it would rain?

I hate summer; I'm more of an autumn/winter person. While I'm not particularly fanatic about the rain, a good old downpour would sure beat the weather we've been getting down here over the past couple of months.
 
I've been waiting for my first summer thunderstorm and we've had nothing yet. This year so far has been a disappointment. I live right on the south coast and enjoy watching them roll off the Channel from France (imports) - I've seen some wonderful storms over the years...

One thing you cannot beat is the smell of the rain during a summer thunderstorm

It will be getting hot and sticky in the South East by Friday and there is no indication yet of a thundery breakdown from the continent. I like to keep tabs on conditions/models via a weather forum as there are some good experts on there :)
 
Nope im actually pretty happy that so far it hasnt rained for the past couple of weeks...one thing i loathe about this country is the damn rainy weather we get...so its about time we had a decent summer ie lots of sun and hot weather...absolutely loving itL:D
 
we had an AMAZING thunderstorm here a few weeks ago but apart from 20mins of light drizzle today it was the only rain weve had in a month maybe

was seriously impressive storm though. the lightning was lighting up my whole house x ray brightness style and the thunder sounded like the end of the world. probably the best ive ever seen in this country


theres actually a hose pipe ban in cumbria started today. a woman on the news was stood in the bottom of a reservoir there !
 
Rained on and off for the last week or so up here in Manchester.

I am quite glad, it might shut United Utilities up. Let it top up their ressers before they run dry through all their leaks! :p
 
Yes! Hasn't rained here for three weeks exact.
Has looked like it's about to for the last couple of days though. I love thunderstorms so I'm hoping it will :)
