Anyone else been scammed by www.shopperdiscountsandrewards.co.uk?

I don't think you have a leg to stand on?

Somehow accidently agreeing to something, paying it for three years, then crying not fair isn't going to wash with anyone I wouldn't have thought.

all appear to have been a party to this scam at some time or other. I am astonished that no insurance companies have got involved yet

You can typically spot the scam by means of an offer at the end of the online booking process along the lines of "Would you like a 10% discount on your next booking?. Since most online booking processes are incredibly long winded and tedious, you have probably lost the will to live when you near the end and are likely to be happy for ANY possible future discount. By signing up for this alleged discount, you are agreeing to become a donor to these evil bloodsuckers.

The banks and credit card companies have known about this scam for years and don't seem to care about it

sorry to hear you were scammed OP.

you should have noticed the money going out of your account,

HOWEVER

I suspect the site fully intended to trick you by adding by default and putting it an obscure place the fact you were signing up to some scam service.....

I never understand why banks cannot simply give the option to txt you on each payment taken from your account.....

Hope you get the money back....

It amazes me they can get away with that... I almost got caught a few times. Vista print got me and I went mental at them... and to be fair I got £200 of stuff for nothing from them....

"Budget airlines", every time I hear that phrase I cringe. Always employing disreputable business practises.

Try contacting a lawyer, unfair contracts are not enforceable, t&c's are for clarifying points not for hiding charges. Check boxes like that are made for scamming people.

Pizza Hut are offenders too. I clicked the button to get £10 off but realised I had to input my details again and was like "huh?!" and then promptly closed my browser. I've checked my online statements and I think I have been lucky not to get scammed. I've used Interflora too.

thetrainline.com also has this 10% thing.

Be careful with the buttons you press...

I KNOW I should have checked earlier but that is besides the point.

I can tell you now that I was never redirected to a site to sign up. You may do now, but it did not happen. I am not that stupid.

They have NEVER contacted me in any form. Does that sound like a reputable business? 3 years paying for some kind of discount club and nobody at the company thought during that time is it not odd that this chap has never used us?

I have emailed them requesting the funds back., plus copies of the contract I signed and the contract they sent to me detailing their terms of service.
