Anyone else bored with gaming?

Interesting how people seem to hop from game to game. I played WoW for 4 years or so, never touched anything else.

Moved from that to Starcraft 2 on release, not really played anything else seriously and just whipped out a few games. I love the whole aspect and competitiveness of the scene. Single player games haven't grabbed me for ages!

I am at the mo with PC, but luckily I have a PS3 as well so its good to be able to play exclusives on that.

I feel your pain mate, i was like that too so sold my xbox and moved back to pc, found leauge of ledgends and am in love again xD Just need to find somthing fresh, or have a full week off gaming all together then go back to it

The sun's out - go ride bike or something :p Gaming is great for those long winter nights where there's nothing else to do. And everyone gets burned out eventually.
+1

I haven't played any games for about a month or more now as am always out now the weather has warmed up a bit...
You need to be pretty sad to sit in front of a PC everyday in your free time while it nice and sunny outside..

Gaming is really only for the boring wet & cold & dark winter months....;)

I just dug out MOHAA, Wings of Prey and Heroes of Might and Magic complete from my games cupboard and been playing them.

If you have a collection of boxed games, have a look and see what you've forgotten all about, install it and have fun again.

Very few games pull me in any more - Tomb Raider was good but didn't pull me in like some games of old, Dishonored and BioShock infinite were immersive but fairly quickly got bored of them once I'd finished the first play through.

Its not like the days where I bought games like Quake 2, Thief 2, Deus Ex, Half-Life, took a week off work and completely lost myself to the game for several days.

I feel like this all the time, then a great game comes along and I play it to death and then feel the same again :D.

Im exactly the same i waited what seemed to be a lifetime for bioshock infinate and clocked it on day 1 ...Back to square 1 again.

However the last of us seems to be catching my eye a bit :P

Ah, MOHAA... Best gaming years of my life! Let me know if the MP is still good (lots of people online, etc.) please and I might install it again. :)

I always find that if i get bored of gaming a game towards the more casual end of the spectrum will hook me, been playing Game Dev Tycoon for 3 days now and i really am just addicted

GTA V has stimulated my interest, I've actually gone back to wow I've become so bored of everything else. Even that is getting a little old after a couple of days.

Never say never but I can't see myself getting burned out from gaming as a whole (specific games sure), other things will get in the way and limit how much time I can dedicate to it but I've never felt bored of gaming and I can't see it happening in the forseeable future. Gaming is constantly evolving, I think I'm more likely to get burned out from watching football or something like that. I could play games 15hrs a day and not get bored no problem.... the problem isn't lack of good games, it's lack of time to play them.

I do get the thing about 'staring at Steam list, nothing jumping out at me' but that doesn't mean I'm bored of gaming, it just means I'm trying too hard to choose the 'perfect' game to play next and picking flaws in everything.

Burn-out doesn't have to be permanent :) If I have a major gaming binge, I'll often be drained/ burned-out for weeks afterwards.

And sometimes I won't touch a game for months. This normally comes after a gaming marathon... I'm a bit all-or-nothing heh.

MMO burnout tends to last longer (because of the stupid amount of time they take to play in the first place, maybe). Haven't touched an MMO for years now. But come EQNext... I'll be getting out my robe and wizard hat again :p
