Anyone else bored with gaming?

Well, Sleeping Dogs has a similar fighting system to Batman in my opinion. Or of course you could wait until October when Batman Arkham Origins is out, I'm really looking forward to that.

Already completed that! :p Was an enjoyable game but didn't quite grab me the same way those 3 games did, unfortunately no game can to the same extent :( :o Also recently completed bioshock infinite, metro LL, call of juarez, spec ops: the line, all very enjoyable too.

Currently looking at Alan Wake and assasins creed II & III (didn't like the first one though.........)

Likewise, CAN NOT WAIT for Arkham Origins!

I've had some periods like this in the past, but I tend to get bored of games that require effort, so I often just go back to simple fun games, like the Lego series or chuck on mario on my N64, games that are just plain fun to play, they aren't particularly rewarding or taxing but never fail to put a smile on my face. There have been periods where I haven't played a "serious" game for a few months I just bash my way through Lego Harry potter for the umpteenth time :D

Try some League of Legends, the competitive side to it makes it highly enjoyable.

Try some Dayz, the fact that you need to actual be aware of your surroundings and what you're doing makes it highly immersive.

or you could go outside of your comfort zone, think about a genre you never would have thought you'd have played and try it, you might love it.

You could also take a break, i usually do this every few months or so.

I think the next gen will bring plenty of innovation to PC gaming with the PS4 & Xbone being more like PC, I think we could end up with a lot more new & interesting games that break the mould as it were, sure we will see the likes of COD & Battlefield falling back in to the familiar format but there are already plenty of new IP's coming that look to be something fresh & new.
If your bored now start saving for an upgrade because I think the future looks pretty good.

Sorry, just a quick trip back to page 1 of this thread: Thanks for the Morroblivion tip, I never new that existed and it works fantastically.
Apart from Skyrim and Carrier Command: Gaea Mission I was bored stiff of PC gaming too (for the last 2 or 3 years now), but this is something else again.
Great tip!

Has Carrier Command: Gaea mission been patched into a working product now? last time I played it the game was a complete mess the A.I. path finding was abysmal & the FPS sections were boring beyond belief.

I really struggle to find the time to play any games these days. I come home from work knackered and will happily just sit on the sofa with the Mrs watching junk TV.

Its only when she is out and there isn't anything I need to catchup on the box that I finally crack open iRacing.

Feel your pain... hoping that a switch to PC from Console will give me back my desire to play games

Recently got into DIY and... gardening so find spending a little less time playing keeps me Ken on games longer :-) sometimes I think I just over play.

@ Divinious: No, despite having being patched several times, the AI is only marginally better, and the FPS sequences are as bad as ever (completely unchanged actually). But if you manage around that, there's a great game hidden beneath. But that's probably just me. :p

I'm getting extremely bored of gaming after doing all my office out as well! Cannot sit and play a game for longer than an hour.

I'm finally back in one of my gaming spurts. I've been wanting to complete a back log of games for some time now, and having completed Bioshock Infinite last week I finally feel like I can start making my way through them. It felt so good to finish a game.

I'm also on the final main quest for Skyrim, so I hope to finish that soon. I'm around 5 hours into Absolution (I had two 2.5 hour sessions over the weekend, that's really rare for me these days) and I hope I can finish that in the next month.

I'm really annoyed that I've lost my Max Payne 3 save game, I'll start that again at some point, but I want to move onto Dishonored first, as I've only played that for less than an hour.

I need to make the most of this peak!

I haven't found a game that grabs my attention for a long time :( first splinter cell I was obsessed Or the orginal max Payne.

I don't know if I'm getting old and grumpy before my time but so many games that promise originality fail to impress.

same i'm only 36 but sometimes I wonder why I have a gaming PC I spend more time on my netbook

If it wasnt for lotro I wouldnt play anything at the moment. Its the one game that always keeps me captivated. Sure I get bored of it now and then but I always go back.

Looking forward to BF4 on PC ofc and am quite exciited about the next gen consoles.

Has anyone who has stopped playing certain games done so because they're bogged down by side quests? That's what has happened to me in some games like Borderlands which is why I pretty much skip all side quests in games now unless there is a good reason to do so.

Dota 2 has been my biggest addiction for last year. Such a great unpredictable game.

I used to find that the more games I owned the less I played, probably down to not being able to choose. Maybe get one or two games that you think you might like and stick to those.

No pressure then :)
