Anyone else save Pennies?

Just wondered if anyone else keeps 1p's and 2p's that you always find in your pocket/wallet?

My Mum has a massive Whiskey bottle full of them that she sorts out every couple of years. I however have a much more messy method and have mugs with them in. Trying to think of a unique place to collect them.

Any ideas? I welcome stupid ideas as well. Because I just know how this thread is going to go lol. But I'm bored so meh

I have an old stork margarine tub that I put all my lose change from pockets/wallets into - I usually take out the £1s and 50ps for busses and things, and get the rest all bagged up and paid into the bank when it gets full, or when I should be studying for exams.

Yeh I have an old bottle full of loose change. I just chuck stuff in when I my wallet gets too full of shrapnel

I started to 'save' them after my ex-girlfriend shouted at me for throwing them on the floor (I hate shrapnel)

Soon builds up. Got well over £200 which has accumulated in under a year :eek:

Whatever you do, do NOT save them in a 5-gallon glass carboy. They like to shatter and slice through wrists and tendons and stuff when you try to move them.

I don't carry anything less than 50p pieces on me, so aye, I have a huge pot full of change. Sometimes take them down to the newsagents (they don't mind change) when I need milk and stuff.

1ps, 2ps and 5ps get saved and put in the bank. Supposed to be the same with 10s and 20s but always end up using them to pay for chippy tea instead

I just chucked all my change in an old take-away plastic tub (washed) and a few empty CD tube lids.

My sisters mate went to a change machine got £25, she was well happy so my sister did her change, got £35. We al guest mine, reakoned £50'ish. Turned out to be £140 woop woop.

Few weeks later I emptied my £1 tin I'd been filling up, say over £500 when full. Turned out to be £620 woop woop.

I have a box of 1 and 2p's, if I collect a lot of silver I take it to the Coinstar machine at the supermarket and you can get it changed.

Yeah, I have a jar full of coinage.

Every... 6 months or so I spend a day counting them and then going to the bank to put them in to my account. Have done since I was a wee child, just a habit.
