Anyone fancy a Spitfire?

I've been following the forum linked below.
It has a few members who clearly know what they are talking about.

They have a forum member posting who is out with the digging team (if I'm right he's dug up 5 spitfires in the past?) and to quote his post from today.......

" Not over yet. Just a glitch.

Report tomorrow,

Mark Singapore "

Wait so now the Israelis trying to take over the Digging operation from the UK team?

How is it in their interests?

The history of killing Nazis i would imagine?
Although they would be japs out there ?

Does seem a bit strange, does it not . This story definitely is not over yet!

since the original team got permission to start digging, several others have gone over there i think.

not in a national interest, purely from a salvage/money interest

Must admit from what I've read I'm left feeling very sceptical. The bloke seems to be on a crusade based on hearsay. Don't get me wrong would love to see some spitfires discovered but at the time they would more likely be used for scrap. Plus the conditions in Burma would hardly be ideal for preservation.
