I know a lot of people hate this case but I love the look of it and was wondering if anyone got it yet ?

Not really gone on my Mirage 62. The front is terrible even though the pics looked great. All plastic. Don't know why I thought there was some metal in there. Plus it doesnt open very far, and when you take the door off the blasted power switch cabling and usb bits are actually connected to the inside of the door and not to the outside of the case like on the Eclipse. So you have to route the cabling from the inside to remove the door. Annoying. Cools very well though, with 3 Scythe 1200rpm fans and using the thermal sidepanel.

The 900 looks incredibe though. A huge quiet top fan, 2 quietish blue led front fans. And could replace the rear fan with a scythe and add 2 more to the sidepanel and hard drive cage.

But worried it's very plasticky though. Reviews don't really say. Plus no air filters. No idea how well built or flimsy the sidepanels are. And last but not least is there a problem with the psu cable reaching.

P.S. the Akasa is a hell of a lot deeper looking so will be fine for the G80, plus easier to put together, with removable mobo tray.

Advice please ?

Thinking of ordering one of these myself to replace my Lian-Li PC7 +II which i only bought to match my Vapochill LS which i now don't use anymore.Still pondering if to order one or not, will try to read some more reviews.

Actually the psu fan usually sucks air, so it would be pulling it from your video card. So I guess the psu would get hot.

Have to wait for more reports. I think this case could be very plasticky and not an improvement in build quality over the Akasa Eclipse / Mirage 62.

Love to hear what people think of it too! As i've got a p180 presently i wonder whether it'd be more of a sideways step than an upgrade though!

Hi there

Built a system in one of these this week and we are extremely impressed! :)

The airflow from this case is superb, plus its a builders delight. Everything screws into place and everything can be removed with ease. The fans push a lot of air but the case is very quiet/silent running. Plus when powered up it looks very cool too.

Anybody building a high-end machine that wants cool temperatures along with great looks this is ideal and what a great price it is too. Consider the fact that the 200mm fan alone would sell seperately for £15-£20 makes this superb value. :)

I am very interested in this case aswell,is it put together well and is it aluminium?
I have an old coolermaster praetorian at the mo.

I am interested in this case too.

Is the top of it plastic ? Does it feel cheap ?

What are side panels like ? Do they fit well, vibrate etc..

What about filters for the fans ?

How easy is it to build in compared to say an Akasa Eclipse which is very deep plug has the option of removing the mobo tray ?

did a quick google on this case and found this

Ok it all start perfectly. I picked up my Antec 900 today and was so happy. I moved my system to it's new home which went fine. I then started plugging in all the cables at the rear and that’s when my world turned to ****!

You see when I went to plug my monitor in it wouldn't fit. No matter how much I moved it around I could not attached it to the video card.

Some numpty at Antec forgot to leave enough clearance around the video cards DVI outputs to actually allow you to connect your monitor to it.

Luckily for me I have an SLI mobo so I just put the video card in the second slot. Problem fixed unless I want to run an SLI rig in this so called "Gamers Case."

If you do not have an SLI mobo you have been warned.

The following pic shows all.

Might just be the odd batch though

After reading through the posts on this issue it looks like the problem only happens if you have a mobo where the graphics card is placed in the very top pci slot.

In this case the the dvi connector on the card is flush against the top edge of the slot so there is not enough clearance above the connector for your dvi cable to attach snugly.

Of course if the video card was in the 2nd pci slot, or the case manufacturer had built another pci slot into the case, above the motherboards first pci slot (ala Akasa Eclipse) you could simply remove the blanking plate in the 1st pci slot to allow you to adjust/jimmy the video card into position so the dvi connector is centred properly.

Looks like I won't be getting this case then, as I have a Bad Axe, and the video card plugs into the 1st pci slot.

Gibbo,

In the Full systems section - you advertise this case with an Intel Bad Axe mobo. Did you have any problems sticking an 1900xt or 7950GX2 into the top pci-e slot. Lots of people interested in this case, so would be nice to know.

thanks

I have an Asus A8N32-SLI with a 7950GX2 and there is loads of room in this case, must be about 3 inches of space between the end of the card & the drive bays. But the dvi connector is pretty close to the edge of the pci slot in the case but fits fine.
