Sold our TV a week ago, coping fine surprisingly, I find more time to read and do stuff around the house. My sister misses her cartoons but that's bout it, my parents and bros didn't watch it much anyway. I won't be buying a TV when I move out, waste of time and space imo.

When I get my place sorted, I'll probably just buy a large LCD screen without a tuner so I can watch DVDs. TV is pants these days tbh.

I mostly use my tv to watch tv eps, dvds and the odd tv channel. Probably use it more when I get a freeview box.

Not sure i could live without a tv! Whenever I'm home it's on, I couldn't miss out on all that football, cricket, f1, darts, tennis, baseball etc etc.

I would buy a TV purely for MOTD, 24 and heroes. The only question would be whether to get skysports or setanta for live games

when i first got a place of my own, i went without tv for over 2 years. and this was before i had the internet as well.

even now i have one, i barely watch it. if someone nicked it, i wouldn't bother replacing it anytime soon.

I got rid of my TV about 3 years ago. One of my better decisions IMO, I no longer spend night after night sitting down doing squat.
