Anyone into RC?

Phoenix is really good. I can't comment about how the planes feel to the real thing as I fly helicopters. If they are as well modelled as the helicopters then they will be very good indeed.

Woudn't say im massively into it but did randomly buy a hydrofoam last weekend when I was bored. Its half built and I am pretty much enjoying the process even if I will ditch it on its first run out :)

Cool :)

Im already looking at my first plane trainer, I dont know weather or not to get an electric trainer, or a nitro trainer. Something like this....

Cool looking gadget you have there :)

I guess it could be yeh, as some people interpret RC as Remote Control and Radio Control, as its going over Wireless radio signals then yeah:)

Although im not 100% what you use the above for? I wouldnt mind knowing the full use of it if you dont mind :) Always been interesting in stuff like this.

Here's a pic of my RC gear.....There are 2 missing from the pic as they are in pieces at the mo awaiting parts.

I want to make a WiFi robot one day. I'm not sure I'd have a use for it, but I want one.

Need to get that Heli over here in the shed if it's too windy outside, just mind the bloody forklift this time!!

this thread brought up a few memories!

I started with a HPI RS4 3 SS which while fun was a bit dull with no one else to play with. Then i passed my driving test and bought an HPI Savage SS which i sunk considerable change into over the years and then i decided to get my Hyper 8, no expense spared.

Ended up with a RB WS7 III ported polished and balanced, digital servos, 2.4ghz control and a custom shell. Loved it. Sadly I hated getting the Hyper dirty because it was so nice so i stopped going out and eventually sold it all. It's something I'll come back to if/when I have kids that I think might be interested.

just about the only pic i have of it now :( though i kept the shell.

Bingo, found the RC thread :D Recognise a few of you guys from other forums. Mainly CandyMan and FatBoyObese

Thought I'd share a couple of pics of what I currently run.

First Car - Trophy Truggy 4.6 Just 2 years past since I got this one at christmas still going strong

Traxxas Slash 4x4 - This thing never gives up, bash the hell out of this thing

Hyper 7 - Converted this from nitro running a Castle MMM System, this gives me my speed thrills

My racer: Hong Nor X2CRT sadly retired at the end of last season, only one left running a truggy at the local track so decided to move to buggy this year. Have another spare roller in pieces which I am going to build up and convert and keep this one going too.

Nice collection there Hunter, i'm especially jealous of the 5SC  I would get one if i had the money and the space. Where do you race your buggy? I'm in my first season of racing and enjoying it immensley so far.

My TB-01.

Would it be possible to get a brushless motor for this car? Its a good car but lacks the power to make it fun offroad. I was thinking of getting some larger wheels to give it more ground clearance and a brushless motor and a few decent 8.4v batteries.
