To be honest, I might have to do that.
I'm still set on a 6800XT, but only at the £680 (Although I'd love it at the RRP).
A bit urgh now knowing I've missed a big drop.
I was on a spin bike at the time, Had given up but clicked the link for a laugh to see how quick they were going to sell out.
Thats what I initially wanted too but heard there was possibly a long wait.
From what I've seen, The drops tend to be between 1-2:30pm too.
Meanwhile, AMD haven't had a single drop since, what, November?

There has been a couple of drips and drabs not on here and prices basically a tier above what the card should be priced at. I've noticed other places taking preorders for end of February delivery.
December at some point was the last one on the amd site, seems to be few and far between whereas nvidia seem to be every week or 2.

Shame really. I would have taken either.
Does seem more than a little suspect that they finally have a top end performer AND it has a good cooler thats not available anywhere. Wonder if they're selling these at a loss, given the cooler it wouldn't surprise me hence the scarcity.
And the fact that they'd planned to discontinue them like a week after they went on sale.
Clearly not a viable product for AMD.
Seems like it, it really is mental that after years and years and YEARS of bitching about their stock cooler they finally do a good one and it's impossible to buy at the proper price. I think we'll see a few more small drops over the next few months and they'll be "retired" shortly after.
Also doesn't fill you with hope for the 6700XT series.

I was looking for a 1660 Super, there are now a few available in various places but they're only the little crappy single fan SFF version which isn't what I want. Plus they're a bit steep.

I have done it again... What's wrong with me!
I am refreshing my web pages casually as I am doing other work on the PC, and there I see a 3070 in stock. So before I know it I have clicked on it, paid for it, and it disappears from my basket, no payment made. Damn. All I know it is a EVGA and has 3 fans, no time to check the details. I close browser, refresh pages, click again and it is still available, I buy it again in a panic, and this time payment succeeds. All good. Then I check the details! It is NOT the FTW as I wanted, but the XC3 Ultra... Now what do I do? Shall I cancel it or eat it?

How much did you get it for?
I had no trouble selling my impulse 3070 purchase for what I paid for it and I got to play with the card and make a more informed decision.

I was just flicking through the gfx cards pages and I'm not sure that there are any cards in stock, at all
I’ve had both a twin frozr 3070 and a rog strix 3070 in a basket for at least pre order today. Unfortunately neither will fit in my case... the size of the AIB cards are stupid....
Think you should buy a couple more, just to be sure.
