I'm not but my daughter is because she was in the house when we had a very near strike about ten years ago. The house wasn't directly hit but we were close enough that the insurance claim came to just over £10,000.

I love to watch lightning storms but my family has a bit of a history with lightning strikes so i'm not a fan of close strikes.

My fathers been within 50 yards of 3 strikes in his life and i've been within 50 yards of 1

I love it...we used to get awesome thunderstorms when I was in Italy. I'd just sit outside on the porch at night watching them.

Not bothered by it in the slightest, in fact I quite enjoy watching lightning.

Only thing I worry about is how close it is and if it might kill my pc/router due to a surge when I'm at home, outside of the house I'll obvious take precautions etc.

That was weirdly coincidental. Started reading this thread, and the TV reception started to suffer - checked out the window, and a lightning storm had just begun.

Got a massive storm raging right now here in Stoke. It's directly overhead and the lightning is mental.

I just unplugged my HNT NEBRA lightning rod in "sunny" Southport.
Seems to have passed now so gonna crack it back on again..... Can't miss out on 27p worth of HNT
