I might give it another go later but I can't stand that song either, it's turned into an Internet thing. It's 20 years ago today that it became #1 too.
 
Firstly, please accept my apologies! I've nailed most of my assignments and I'll try my best to promise I won't stay away for so long!

A mahooosive update to the friends, awesome! :D

I've added all the names provided, for those that haven't listed their names, get your arses down!

Lets start off this competition, how long should we let each one run? 5 or 7 days?
 
Right in order for this to work well, we need to decide if we're going to let it run for either 5 or 7 days.

Then everyone on the list needs to select a song. I will update the thread with the users song of choice. Everyone will get a turn as we go down the list on post #1. Please pick a song that is fairly mainstream and popular. I can't emphasise this point enough.

Before midnight, i'd appreciate it if people can post screenies for the benefit of everyone.

Oh and we can perhaps add stars to winners of each running competition :)

Ends at midnight on the 17th of March!
 
Question, how will the songs be distributed? Assuming people will be choosing popular songs, we can hardly link to the mp3s on OcUK, and if left to their own devices, people will probably end up with different versions of the same song.

I'm just going through my collection to find something I can win at. Is there a length limit or anything?
 
Play Underworld - cowgirl and imagine you are zerocool from hackers playing that version of wipeout on mono pro or ninja mono!! actually AWESOME :X
 
Another vote for the Muse remix. Soulwax are awesome, and the level is pretty intense. :)

I'd love to try a massively long Mars Volta tune, but we've already found there's often more than one version... :(

Hunt thru the "remix sunday" posts on the Palmsout blog I linked earlier...

All the songs there are legal free remixes, so find something you like (there are hundreds of remixes), and post the name and page it was from. :)

Also, if anyone knows another source of free legal music, post away, and we should have something apart from remixes to try. I think there is a "creative commons" page that has loads of tunes on... I could even post a few homemade tunes but they are far from finished, and not to everyones taste. :D
