anyone use winamp 5.5 lite?

used to love winamp back in the old times when it was a great if not the best mp3 player!

just downloading and giving the lite classic a go, anyone still use it or rate it?

Not that I recall....I update when updates are out and install it only and nothing else.

well when it was winamp 1 and 2 it was great and i used that old version until i moved to Vista last year. if i recall winamp when **** up on version 3 doubling in size and system usage

Love winamp, use the newer bento skin, it's fantastic imo.

Use it for all my music needs, I love the library compared to everything else out there, I hate wmp/itunes etc as you don't have separate artist/album/track sections.

Fast. sounds good, looks good, I recommend

Yep v3 was terrible. v5 is good though again

Agreed, been a Winamp fan for many years, I stayed on V2 when V3 was released, only upgrading to V5 when that came out.

I was an avid Winamp fan for years, recently swapped to AIMP2 as it's not so bloated.

Using the latest version here, but only to play music which it does fine. Job's a sorted.

There's not been an update in a while though. Same with VLC.. :confused:

yeah i just use it for single mp3 use, forced to use itunes having 3 ipods to manage and keep my data clean and to be honest use wmp11 for avi playback

You can use iPods with Winamp? I remember having mine and having to download a seperate plugin (it might even be integrated now), and being able to interact with it flawlessly through the media library window.

When a mate's iPod got plugged in - Winamp just recognised it as a different device and away I went.
