i was thinking of going with the stability adjustment , it starts at 5db and up , now if i put 5 will that be my target or will that add 5db ? id like to be on around 9db as im on 6 now

i will not recommend to use 5db at stability ... try higher ... if you use 5 then will really low your snr target near 0 or less
Lower value will drop the snr ... higher value will set the snr higher rate

They have made improvement with latest firmware driver from vendor (MEDIATEK)

By the way Traffic Analyser will be added soon (they working on it) ... as they did with Aiprotection & Adaptive QoS

If you're talking about from 9166 regarding the improved DSL driver then unfortunately it was producing thousands of CRC errors downstream unless I either had interleaving or a high SNRM target (at least 12dB or higher) within a short timeframe :( - Boy I wish I had G.INP, problems would be gone. If on the other hand you're referring to a new upcoming firmware release, then I look forward to trying it!

I've had the ASUS dsl ac68u for about a month now got it to replace the buggy hh5 very pleased with it on the whole took quite a bit of tweaking to get it to run well without dropping the connection but with this and a couple of firmware updates it took its toll on my connection and dlm intervened and applied heavy interleaving on downstream and upstream seems to have been banded as I should be on the max for bt infinity 2 as hh5 used to snyc at 20 up not sure whats happening there? anyway since the 9166/9168 update seems to be running even better crc errors seem to be pretty good compared to what other people have reported its been up and running nearly 15 days just waiting for dlm to reduce the heavy interleaving but still waiting?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to find out the error second count on this, I know there is (or was) a telnet code that would show it, but I cant find it anywhere?

No is not out yet traffic analyser so this feature is not there with latest firmware

cat /tmp/adsl/info_adsl.txt does work but it does not show ES or SES I cannot find it when I telnet into router unless anybody else has got another code?

Anyone have an issue where your forwarded ports get repeated by UPnP? I forward ports 9307:9308 and UPnP will repeat this, it is displayed as individual ports

I think this has an effect on gaming as it no longer uses the port forwarding but rather UPnP, and the whole idea of me forwarding ports is because UPnP is not the best for online gaming

Just disable UPnP tbh its safer

I meant UPnP in general is unsafe it means any program can open ports on your router. Imagine a not nice program opening ports so more not nice programs can get in? Its always best to just port forward the ports you actually want.

@Ayahuasca its under WAN it says Enable UPnP (Yes / No)

I'm trying to get my speeds back to 80/20 on Infinity 2. I'm getting 63/20 right now and have been on Fastpath for weeks. I'm fiddling with Stability Adjustment and Tx Power Control, but frankly don't know what I'm doing.
I'm very wary of too many modem resets invoking DLM, so any advice on how to adjust these (or other) settings gratefully received. E.g. I assume one changes these settings in response to SNR, Power, Attenuation etc in Logs? Upstream looks great, but Downstream I have the following:

SNR 9.6 dB
Line Attenuation 5.9 dB
Path Mode FastPath
Interleave Depth 1
Data Rate 62886 kbps
MAX Rate 83208
POWER 13.9 dam


Any guidance gratefully rec'd!
