Anyone using Wegovy?

Oh boy ok yeah that doesn't look good.
You'll adapt.
Yeah it sucks

I think I know where I went wrong, in April I had a week in Prague and May I had two weeks in Gran Canaria where I hit the carbs hard with especially Guinness.
I also increased carb intake because it was hard to resist the all inclusives.
Second week of Gran Canaria I went on shorts and I love the taste of Sambucca but when I got home found out it was a full of carbs.
I'm going to ask to go back on Empagliflozin because that stuff worked but I will have to follow the instructions to the letter eg drinking at least 2 litres of water a day.

Cut out carbs as much as you possibly can!
I'm convinced I'm heavily insulin resistant/prediabetic. It's never been diagnosed though as my HbA1c is always relatively normal, and I reckon that's because I try to be keto all the time, it just feels better, which means no elevated glucose levels which means no glycated haemoglobin increase.

Daily dose of 14mg? Jeebus.
I'm on a weekly 1.7mg!

I'm an expert on carbs after 20 years, it's just hard to do it sometimes - read above reply to Efour.

I started Mounjaro today. I am 99kg (heaviest I have been in years) and 5ft 7. Carry it mostly around my belly.

I already started with the Gym and strength training about 3 years ago, I just suck at getting the eating right. I get on it for months, get some benefit, but just can't make the habits.

I am hoping that this will get me in the space where the lack of cravings / huunger will get me into the right eating habits, so when I am done with it I am used to only eating what I need and eating the right things. I generally eat good food, but just loads of it......

Not even the weight I am bothered about, its the body fat. Will see how I go! My target is <16% body fat (currently about 26%) and clothes waist of 32" (currently 36").

I hit 25% body weight reduction this week. 30kg almost 5 stone. I have decided I will not continue past 12 months (im paying for it myself so its rather expensive)

80kg was my original target and end of November will be my 12 months. If i make it to 85kg/ 13.4 stone ish I will be happy.

Biggest habit change for me that i feel i can maintain without it is fizzy drinks. They no longer seem to interest me. I am not a big fan of alcohol so I have had a couple here and there if I'm out but its a far cry from the litres I used to drink.

I have found recently i have bad days with absolutely no energy. I try to carry on as normal. Today was one of those days. Didn't want to get up and have had no energy to do anything. A couple of weeks ago i completely ran out of steam mid bike ride while on a climb. My legs went to jelly and i had to walk my bike to the top and cut my ride short and coast back home. Need to work out how to manage my food energy levels when in such a calorie deficit.

Have you tried fancy sparkling waters? My wife drinks these by the bucket: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Libra-Spar...&sprefix=sparkling+water+drink,aps,89&sr=8-17

I mainly drink water. I have one coffee a day and I have orange juice on the weekends. I have got into a routine that ive been sticking too.

il have a look at them thanks, i find normal sparkling water quite bitter. Well thats the best way i can describe it.

Because it is...lol. Took me five years to get used to the taste. Mixing it with lemon or orange helped with the taste.

Now I only drink sugary fuzzy drinks when I'm out on the weekends but never at home.

Congrats, that's a huge drop.

Apologies if you've said somewhere else, but how did the weight drop? Was it pretty consistent right from the beginning, or did the rate increase / drop off at a certain point?

Apple health isn’t pinpoint accurate and I wasn’t using an app to track it at the start but here is the graph for the last 12 months.

Thanks for sharing that, really impressive that you've managed to keep it going so well.

I've dropped about 10% in 4 months but hit a bit of a plateau recently, side effects have been a bit challenging but about to reach the maintenance dose so hoping that will subside.

Yeah I had to push through that.

I found that I generally ate very poorly. If I have sugar I am really unwell.

I went to the cinema yesterday for the first time in ages and had a sweet popcorn. I have had indigestion ever since and an upset stomach. I did it anyway which I regret.

Once I realised what was upsetting me I stopped it in the most part. Everyone’s different but for me excess sugar, uncooked beef (anything slightly pink), pork and fast food like McDonalds dont agree with me.

I have been trying to eat things higher in Protein anyway so mainly eat chicken and avoid carbs. I eat only lunch each day. I canny eat large portions or again I feel bloated and not great.

This has meant my enjoyment of food had diminished. A small price to pay. We shall see what I’m like when I stop it.

Had my first Tier 3 Diabetes appointment today and they are recommending me the injection version of semaglutide, it might be Ozempic I heard mentioned.
If that fails it will be Insulin jabs.
On the plus side my new Diabetes Clinician was 10/10 fit.

I am 9 weeks in and I have lost 9kg (Down from 99.6kg to 90.5kg).

I did 2.5mg x 4 weeks, 5mg x4 weeks and I am on week 2 at 7.5mg.

It is bizzaire - The feeling of "feeling full" is so alien to me, so imagine eating half a chicken breast and not being physically able to eat any more. Very strange, but it is working! I am hoping by the time I am done that my stomach will be used to just eating smaller meals (the right portion size rather than huge meals I would eat before).

At 2.5 and 5.0 I had no side effects, but a couple of days after the 7.5mg I had nausia, runny tummy for two days, extreme lethargy to the point I had to nap for 2 hours (3 days after) - I dont yet know if this was caused by something else as I am yet to have my second jab at 7.5, so I will find out in the next couple of days......

I have almost been worried I am not eating enough - Some of my gym sessions have been a bit light headed, but generally it is the day or two after having it. By day 4-5 I feel I am eating good quality and quantities of food.

Also I am now a one pint wonder. It has the same impact on drinking and my beer intake has become almost nothing as I just don't feel like I can actually drink it. Again, I want to keep things this way. I don't want to give up beer, but certainly keeping it to a couple of pints a week will be my long term intention.
