Anyone using Wegovy?

I am 9 weeks in and I have lost 9kg (Down from 99.6kg to 90.5kg).

I did 2.5mg x 4 weeks, 5mg x4 weeks and I am on week 2 at 7.5mg.

It is bizzaire - The feeling of "feeling full" is so alien to me, so imagine eating half a chicken breast and not being physically able to eat any more. Very strange, but it is working! I am hoping by the time I am done that my stomach will be used to just eating smaller meals (the right portion size rather than huge meals I would eat before).

At 2.5 and 5.0 I had no side effects, but a couple of days after the 7.5mg I had nausia, runny tummy for two days, extreme lethargy to the point I had to nap for 2 hours (3 days after) - I dont yet know if this was caused by something else as I am yet to have my second jab at 7.5, so I will find out in the next couple of days......

I have almost been worried I am not eating enough - Some of my gym sessions have been a bit light headed, but generally it is the day or two after having it. By day 4-5 I feel I am eating good quality and quantities of food.

Also I am now a one pint wonder. It has the same impact on drinking and my beer intake has become almost nothing as I just don't feel like I can actually drink it. Again, I want to keep things this way. I don't want to give up beer, but certainly keeping it to a couple of pints a week will be my long term intention.
Wow that’s amazing. Congrats. I’m 158kg! :-( (First step is admission right?!).

Sounds like a change in mind set already and exactly what I want to get to , I’m hoping I look at more quality good then quantity so like a small piece of something enjoyable rather than the rubbish I eat now.

Just doing my research while I wait on electrolytes and protein foods.

Just dont restrict yourself to salad. It won't work.

I had a donut the other day which the missus bought me. I've had plenty of nice burgers (well, more like half of them!) and still getting a homemade curry in once every other week. The minute you start restrciting yourself, IMO is the minute you set yourself up for a fall. Just be sesnisble with portions, how often you have a "bad" food etc and just watch the calorie deficit.

I was already on high protein with having started the weight training, but now spreading that protein to more sources rather than just chicken so that I get a variety of flavours and textures, as that is part of what would drive my cravings - I like variety.

Had my health check today. Been on Wegovy 10 months.

I'm down to 88kg from 118.5. I seem to have stopped at this weight, but I am now doing a lot more exercise and building muscle.

My bloods showed my blood sugar is now normal, My cholesterol was spot on and my blood pressure 116/69.

I will do another 4 weeks and if I stay around the same I will come off it and see what happens.

I am happy with where I'm at health wise. Had to buy all new clothes. I'm down from a 2xl t shirt to a medium/large and from a 42" waist down to a 34".

I restarted the course of Wegovy 10 days ago.
Within 3 days, rushed to Hospital.
4L of fluids later and various drugs, I was able to eat and drink again without both ends erupting.
48hr admission before I was allowed out.
I'm still not right, dizzy a lot when I walk about. But getting there.

3 different consultants agree that I seem to be allergic to the main ingredients found in this weight loss drug. As this is the second time I've been in hospital with similar symptoms.

Bonus... was 116kg 10 days ago. Now I'm 97.5kg.
Silver lining.

Mission failed successfully.

Anyone tried mounjaro?
% loss seem to be better than wegovy when compared during clinical trials
I started on Mounjaro on Saturday. I had a real fight to get a provider to let me have it due to medical conditions (47, Ex-later stage Cancer, Stem Cell transplant, Immunosuppression and severe heart damage due to the Chemo and a highly stressful job from hell).
6'6", 131Kgs, the weight started building over the last 5 years or so.

I have stopped one of my "supporting" heart meds after a long discussion with my GP as it would potentially cause Hypoglysimic episodes. Only the 2.5 dose currently, no side effects at all.

That's an amazing transformation well done!

I’m considering Mounjaro as my weight is at a point where it’s affecting my knees making exercise difficult. I can cut out foods but I struggle with fighting hunger and boredom eating. Which is where I’m hoping the Mounjaro will help.

Carbs are my weakness. Pasta, crisps, bread, etc

I’m currently 120kg and 6’ 3”.

Don’t buy them + persistence + time. Problem solved!

I’m being humorous, but also not joking.

Losing 18.5kg over only 10 days is very unhealthy and really bad for your body.

You seem to have learnt nothing from when you made this thread. You lack basic knowledge about losing weight, and seems to have zero care for your body, no surprise you had hospital visits.

it helps but its not a silver bullet. Start with calorie control. Dont go cold turkey. This worked for me i know everyone is different.

I found if i cut everything i liked out and went cold turkey I wouldn't last very long. I went with moderation. Work out how much you are eating and try to understand what you can still eat but maintain a calorie deficit.

Then once you have a hold on that look at what you are eating and what you can change. I went for mostly protein and in my case lots of chicken.

I did cut out sweets and chocolate etc. But had bad days now and then. I found once i had built new habits it was much easier to maintain. If I had a KFC for example which could be what 1400 calories I would eat nothing else.

I did find at the start for a couple of months i didnt want to eat. I was never hungry and the joy of food was gone. This was particularly noticeable for me on Xmas day. I spent 4 hours cooking and couldn't bring myself to eat any of it.

if you think jabbing yourself and continue to eat what you eat now will equal weight loss then it wont.

Hmm yes, indeed. Very good. Very good.

Shove it tweedledum.

I assume people have missed the shovel of sarcasm in Diagro's post (or at least I hope there is)
I think he fully understands it's not normal or healthy but he was having a serious reaction to the drug and in hospital for a few of those days so it's to be expected.

Very large shovel.

Ofc I know. Goes without saying.
Even the attending on duty said it was like my body was eating itself.
Various antibiotics and other drugs fixed me up. Even my heart issues have vastly reduced since I was discharged.
My GP thinks there has been an underlying issue, gone undetected. Now sorted by hospital.

Thanks for the advice. It’s the appetite suppressing side of it that appeals to me to help me control my intake. I don’t plan to eat garbage all the time, I know dietary changes need to also happen.

My problem is they're putting me on Ozempic and I never get hungry.
I eat because I need to live but I also love the taste.
I need a drug that makes me feel ill when I've had too many carbs.
