Anyone watching the Download Festival webcast?

Just out of interest, what do you have against Bring Me the Horizon? I quite like their music and they did a reasonable show... But I'd never heard of them before and was surprised to see such an unknown band so far up the bill.

I think they're great :p Just found these guys last month aswell cant decide who i prefer, give them a go Jihad ;)http://www.myspace.com/asbloodrunsblack

Oli has a good vocal range, well scream range lol.

Crazy amount of pinch harmonics some nice melodic bits and tasty breakdowns, I enjoy it.

I await the abuse, again :p

Although I could barely hear their guitars at Download the drums seemed well overpowering. 'As I lay Dyings' guitars came through much better I think BMTH guitars needed turning up.

Oh by the way I'd never heard of Sanctity before and they were VERY awesome.
Sanctity were ace.

Glad I managed to convince the people I was with to get up early to see Turisas as they were excellent.

As for next years headliners, some of the bands mentioned are just silly. No matter how good you think they are (and in some cases I agree!) there is no way the likes of Cannibal Corpse or Sikth are going to be headlining DL next year.

One of the organisers have already said they are trying to get AC/DC, Foo Fighters and Muse. I've got a feeling one may be Slipknot though.

Hopefully they wont get Muse as they are utter ****!

Rammstein would be epic headliners they have immense live shows, but they aren't that popular I guess?

Slipknot would be good headliners, would be a good thing to see them headlining as 2008 is their comeback year too. (very popular too of course)

What a great feastival, I felt like crap for most of the weekend, am sunburnt, am now skint but still had a great time. Whilst not the best band Hayseed Dixie were my highlight of the weekend - they are a country and western band who cover old rock songs - war pigs had to be the highlight. The atmosphere was great with everyone dancing and just generally having a good time. Managed to see napalm death, megadeth, unearth, as I lay dying, dragonforce, killswitch engage, shadows fall, slayer, machinehead, lamb of god, mastodon, job for a cowboy, chimaira, and maiden over the weekend so I definitely got my money's worth, Roll on Download 2008!

Dragonforce (damn they were good), Linkin Park (Im not even a fan!), Velvet Revolver, Bowling for Soup, Within Temptation, Reel Big Fish and Stone Sour were highlights of the weekend for me :)

Would love to see Rammstein play at Download, I'd guess they'd be quite popular with a fairly large population of the 'more metal' audience, not to mention thier performances are meant to be awesome, and full of pyrotechnics.

Manson was a real dissapointment for me this year though, I mean it felt like he only even bothered talking to the crowd about twice, you may as well have just gone and listened to his albums, even my mates who are big fans got bored and wandered off/started focusing on something else.

I think Rammstein would make incredible headliners and I actually think they are well known enough to pull it off. I just don't think the organisers would realise because they are not down with the fans enough :p

Meh, I preferred the great bands being on early in the day. I was so ****** I can barely remember Korn playing.

The organisers have stated publically that they have tried and failed to get Rammstein - and that they will keep trying.
