Anyone watching the TT this week?

How do they stop all the residents in the Isle Of Man NOT using there cars on the roads where the races are taking place. Like, 'forgetting' and driving down your drive onto the race roads.

Plus stopping people walking on the race road as it is such a big area the race track covers.

Also do they actually race one another around the track. Or is it basically just fastest around the track/lap time?

By this I take it youve not been fortunate enough to get to any road races?

The entire road is closed. Every entrance and exit of the track is closed off and it wouldnt be possible to accidentally drive on. The locals are all very aware of the race too.

Its a time trial, everyone is let out 10secs adrift and whoever sets the fastest speed/time then wins!

However like in the super sports race two, you can get catch up so, you've got the double whammy of a "mini race" with close racing and still actually watching the clock, that was a great race earlier in the week.

Tonight, it's 8pm guys, and highlights are the super lightweights ER6 vs SV650's... should be good and my mate has just bought a 2012 ER6, so he'll be watching with interest!

Ahhhh, yeah sorry they didn't bring the Sv650 did they, yeah forgot about that as earlier in the year they were on about it... sorry my mistake :-) Should make for even better racing then ;-) apart from Farq's ER6 is mental... wonder if they've all had same changes...

Theyre sharp enough wee bikes the KMR ER6's from farquhars workshop.

I was on private test day a few weeks ago before the nw200 and jeremy mcwilliams was there testing out the supertwin and there was really very little in it between his and my supersport 600

Granted hes a motogp rider though!!

I got back from the TT last tuesday, will give a mini write up and pictures soon!

At Kirk Michael corner there was nothing at all between the Super Twins and the IL4 600's! was awesome to watch them hassling the bigger bikes :D
