Higher boost clock out of the box, custom Pcbs which could offer better power delivery among other improvements.

I highly doubt it, i think the red flag there was gigabyte sending the shipment but not being able to confirm how many they shipped. So they apparently just took a load of boxes, lobbed them onto a ship and didn't bother to check how many cards were in them.

Aye, me too. I won't leak my position as OCUK asked me not to, but I'm towards the first bunch of preorders. Going to be heartbroken if it's not fulfilled on the first batch.

Not sure where I am in the list I would assume near the back. I really need the gpu for the 20th of November as I took time off to play BF V. Originally bought a 1080ti but was having issues so thought I might as well upgrade to a 2080ti now that it had been released.

I didn't imagine there would be such a shortage though.

9 weeks come Wednesday. The wait should be worth it though providing I get one next week. My 2 Trios preordered elsewhere is delayed indefinitely, need OCUK to come through.

Into Netherlands, to be shared for whole of EMEA, as such they have not done the allocation yet.
Gigabyte are in at OcUK HQ tomorrow and should hopefully be able to inform me how many is coming to UK and how many of those we are expecting.

Yes from what Gigabyte were saying because I was first in UK to setup product and start taking pre-orders were getting all of first batch, but that could be 10 or 100, won't know until tomorrow or later this week.

Thanks for the updates. Things like this remind me why I decided to buy my card here. I got great info when waiting for my Strix 1080 a couple of years ago too.
