Aorus Master / Extreme (3080+3090) Thread

No stock again today for the Xtreme. Still haven't moved from Pos 1 lads. Looks like that stock has gone AWOL again and judging by Gibbos post, I'm not surprised.

@GIGA-Man will the eagles ordered within the first hour of release day likely arrive before the watchdogs codes expire ? If not how does Gigabyte plan on rectifying this for their customers.
This is all a Saga now, beyond poor. Just an FYI OcUK are obliged by law to provide key information for distance sales, which includes:

  • a description of the goods, service or digital content, including how long any commitment will last on the part of the consumer
  • the total price of the goods, service or digital service or the manner in which the price will be calculated if this can’t be determined
  • how you will pay for the goods or services and when they will be provided to you
  • all additional delivery charges and other costs (and if these charges can't be calculated in advance, the fact that they may be payable)
  • details of who pays for the cost of returning items if you have a right to cancel and change your mind
  • details of any right to cancel - the trader also needs to provide, or make available, a standard cancellation form to make cancelling easy (although you aren’t under any obligation to use it)
  • information about the seller, including their geographical address and contact details and the address and identity of any other trader for whom the trader is acting
  • information on the compatibility of digital content with hardware and other software that the trader is aware of (or can reasonably be expected to be aware of).
So in short we should have an answer to the Watchdogs question, Is the given code compatible/redeemable with the purchased item given it's delay. (I'd consider it not compatible if you cannot redeem it.)
And we should have a date as far as I can tell.

Just sayin....

As fustrated as I am at OCUK as much as you, waiting in POS 1 for my 3080 Xtreme, The watch dogs code @Slyquick is out of Giga-mans control. It was an Nvidia promotion and they royally dropped the ball on that one with the expected stock availability. Asking giga who is a rep, is useless. You'd probably have to contact Gigabyte support directly, or better yet, Nvidia support.

Also, I get what you're saying, and if you read my post history @Timeslider you'll know I'm just as fustrated and sick of the lack of communication we're getting. We're alll going stir crazy on the forum. However I don't that falls under the 'pre-order' agreement. Yes I know they had an expected delivery, etc etc. But still don't think it counts.

Imagine how me and @Don Guido feel, we've only had 1 3080 Xtreme. We were hoping for some 3080 Xtremes being shipped today, but nada. 3080's released before 3090s too. I'm POS 1 for my 3080 Xtreme and I think Don is 40+.

@GIGA-Man Where are all the 3090's man? My queue position for the 3090 Master hasn't moved in weeks, so literally no cards received?

On the web right now I can see 6 3090's listed in stock, not Gigabyte cards but "other companies" and a further allocation of cards due tomorrow. I could have one here tomorrow, but I have been an Aorus fan, and I really like the design of the card... but there's a limit.

I really want my card so I'm trying to hang in there, but I am right on the edge of bailing out.... with no ETA in sight?

Again, this is directed at corporate you as a Gigabyte rep, not personal you... if you see what I mean (nothing personal). Just very frustrated now.

You're wasting your breathe. They don't care. OCUK have literally given up. They don't care if people cancel. They've had your money for 2 months now and have done whatever they want from it. If you cancel, someone is going to take your spot. Why do you think they're the only ones STILL taking preorders?

Gigaman has said time and time again orders have been received, but won't comment on where they're going. Then he goes MIA. He's now the only person dedicated (because seems like gibbos doesn't get a rats arse) for the gigabyte cards.

My honest opinion, follow @partalert on Twitter. Plenty of competitor sites with cards available (if you're quick enough) to snag them. They'll arrive within 3 days and you don't have to deal with OCUK anymore. Everyone who's cancelled who I talk to has openly stated they aren't buying anything from OCUK anymore. Their customer service sucks and they've been nothing but questionable and incompetent during this launch. Absolute mess.

Gibbo will probably get a new Ferrari from this, and post it on the forums, so keep an eye out.

Wasn't there supposed to be a shipment on the end of last week? Still no word on that one
Nope, shipment has disappeared.

Talked to a Aorus Rep, apparently shipments have went to all major PC retailers in the UK atleast in 3 seperate deliveries. This is almost confirmed with the people receiving their (Master, Eagle, Xtreme) cards from competitors. Also remember we were suppose to see all gigabyte stock mid October, it's now nearly mid November.

I'd almost guarantee you won't see stock until January. The last 3 deliveries have vanished. You have better luck finding flight MH370.

Managed to snag 2 3080 Xtremes and 1 3090 Xtreme from a competitor. Should have all three within a week.

Says a tonne about OCUK inability to even ship 1 card.

As much as now knowing that the 3090 Xtremes exist in the wild is an improvement, it still leaves the question of "where in the UK are they" which is just as much of a dissapointment.

It's not a UK problem. It's an OverClockers problem. They're in the UK. I've got 1 from the UK, my friend received his, and another friend is having his arrive next week. Two different UK competitors.

The only one that isn't shipping any (which supposedly has had stock arrive) is OverClockers. Weird eh?

So i guess you are cancelling then? i am really unsure as to hold out or try my luck with other suppliers, if i hadn't have just bought a few other components for just over 2k i'd have GPU money to blow, but would need to cancel before ordering and knowing my luck, they would be shipping cards out just after i cancel!

What pos are you?

They shipped to OCUK in the rough numbers I mentioned, it should have arrived yesterday based on the info I have been given by our sales team. As I stated in previous posts recently, if a question from a forum member involves stock of a RTX 30 card I will not reply directly any longer and will post updates weekly on shipment when I have the info.

Was put in touch with a high Gigabyte rep via a few emails and phone calls. Turns out stock has been shipped to OCUK with Aorus Xtreme cards. Atleast 3 times from what they tell me. They're dumbfounded why cards haven't been shipped to customers.

What do you know? Also how am I able to get this information before you?

the person in 1st position has multiple 3080's on order and so OC has cancelled this and the chap

I was position 1. I was not cancelled. Just had my shipment email today. Guess I'm getting another 3080 Xtreme. :D

The other Xtremes were ordered from a competitor by myself for others. Whoever you talked to on the phone is telling you fibs.

Woah you got yours? I’m in 4th, not had anything yet
Yep. Just shipped.

Looks like I'm the only one who got shipped to, so looking like another 1 card shipped after 3-4 weeks. I personally think they've just shipped it to shut me up so I don't post what gigabyte reps are saying. None the less, I have another card. Nice.

Basically scalping confirmed lol, already has 2 3080s, selling this one for a mark up

I mean, what did you want me to do? My mate was 300+ in another queue, I was position 1. I told him I'd keep it and if it came before his card I'd give him it.

I'm not going to give him a free GPU, so I need to sell it to him, obviously. Could I have sold it for the exact amount to him? Absolutely, but the lads got a cushty job and I think £50 markup is a reasonable price (literally so I can buy cyberpunk). I could've scalped it for 1300+ but nah, £50 is fair.

Either way, I've still got 2 Xtremes (1 3080 and 1 3090) and 1 3090 FE, not including the one that just got dispatched. I managed to snag 3 seperate cards from different competitors, and will be giving them to friends, the 3090 Aorus and the FE are mine for my two rigs. The other 3080 I'll pass on to another friend when he comes back from New Zealand.

Your friends need better friends it seems. Geeze really.. how low.. also you are stating a lot of purchases and wanting to sell to friends.. sounding like scalping to me .. not cool really and a lot of your comments on here have been not very nice and I'm shocked you are not banned for them.

He probably could have a better friend, but not one that's willing to give him a 3080 Aorus Xtreme. But you also missed out this part:
I'm not going to give him a free GPU, so I need to sell it to him, obviously. Could I have sold it for the exact amount to him? Absolutely, but the lads got a cushty job and I think £50 markup is a reasonable price (literally so I can buy cyberpunk). I could've scalped it for 1300+ but nah, £50 is fair.

Just a little FYI, he offered me £200 more, I only wanted £50 for cyberpunk. He also could've said, you know what, that's fine, and I would've just sold it onwards for £1300- I know in todays world that extra £400 profit would've been nice, but I'm not greedy. The lad was thinking about buying on ebay to cut his wait times down, so I think he's winning. I don't know how you do things with your friends, but it's almost expected in my friendship group to offer something. So just because YOU don't, doesn't mean anyone else doesn't. I bet if someone offered you a 3080 Xtreme for £50 more, you'd bite their hand off, so don't be a hypocrite.

As for the 'not really nice' comments I should've been banned for, what are you talking about? My comments are just talking about OCUK inability to be a reseller and their questionable stock situations. Maybe a few pops at white knights sticking up for them. I wouldn't say that's a banable reason in my opinion. But then again, you know best apparently :) I'll tell my mate he deserves a better friend and I'll give away all my GPU's for free .

Also if you really want to get vexxed, my 3080 xtreme arrived today too, so looks like i'll be buying cyberpunk later :D

Lastly (tiny edit), there's morals, and then there's stupidity. Lad is making £300k /yr and was going to buy a 3080 on ebay for £1500. I make a decent amount, but not £300k/yr. The extra £50 is just a wise choice to get a game that I really didn't want, for free. If you want to spend £50 on a game, be my guest, but I'll quite happily accept £50 and get it for free. That's just a smart decision in life.

Huge update, probably going to Peep a lot of you off, but made me chuckle at OCUK expense.

Apparently some dolt who works at OCUK shipped me the card when it actually was suppose to get cancelled. Looks like I've peeved someone off (probably gibbo) with my emails to gigabyte reps or the fact I was able to snag multiple cards elsewhere.

Anyway, when I called that day, they said I wasn't cancelled. They shipped me a card and I've received a 3080 Aorus Xtreme. HOWEVER- I've just checked my statement today, and what's that? A refund for my OCUK payment. Very weird. I didn't put a order cancellation form in, and I'm sitting with a 3080 Xtreme sent by OCUK.

So, I go check my order status on OCUK, and guess what I see:
1DHI7f5.png

So not only did OCUK lie to me saying I wasn't cancelled and then cancelled (and fully refunded me), they shipped me a card anyway and an email to say so. Guess being in position 1 really paid off.

:D:D:D:D:D. Thanks for the free GPU OCUK, you guys really are incompetent. Also for anyone wondering, no I'm not sending the card back, and no I won't be giving the refund back. Their mistake, my gain.

That would be called stealing there buddy
Exactly and what he doesn't realise is they can legally ask for it back or they can take full payment for it.

I think the jokes on him, unless he's just trolling.

Not trolling. I've been on this forum from day 1, position 1.

Also, it's not stealing. It's called unsolicited goods. I'm under no obligation to send this GPU back. The mistake was made on the end of OCUK by refunding the order. The GPU was in my name. I paid for it, they just chose to refund me. So now I have a free GPU.

If they want me to send it back or demand money for it, that's illegal under the Consumer Contracts Regulations Act 2013. So looks like OCUK have just messed up.

I was clear from the start, that the Aorus Cards I was getting from competitors and from Germany, were not mine. They were for friends. I also haven't hidden the fact that I strongly believe something weird is going on with stock at OCUK and have been very vocal about it. It's clear that OCUK haven't been honest, as the day I called they assured me I wasn't cancelled (after another person on this thread, said they told him I was). Few days later, I get a dispatch email for my card, and today I have a refund (that's cleared, it's not pending).

In my orders page, it says refunded. So why was I cancelled? If I had to guess, it was either because they had enough of me talking about the practices at OCUK (that's why I said they sent me the card to shut me up when I originally got the shipping email) or because I had multiple GPUs on order (for other people) from competitors, again, not against OCUK TOS/Rules. If OCUK really didn't like the way I was talking about them, it was extremely easy for them to know which order to cancel since I've said from day 1, what position I was on the Xtreme.

Either way, they aren't getting the card back, I'm not paying for it, nor do I have to legally. They made a mistake, and the consumer rights say I'm well within my legal right to keep it.

Next time OCUK, don't cancel and refund my order, if you're going to send me a card anyway. If you guys want to be mad at anyone, be mad at OCUK.

The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013) which say you have a right to keep goods delivered to you that you didn’t request.

He requested it and then a admin error, meaning he will have to return or arrange payment for it. Or it's theft.

Please read what I said:

I didn't cancel it. They refunded it without me asking for a refund or canellation.

It still falls under the Consumer Contracts Regulations Act 2013. I should know, I've just texted my brother who's a solicitor.

You guys can be mad all you want, I honestly don't care. It's not theft if THEY cancelled and refunded me. I never (again for the third time) requested a refund or cancellation. The fault, AGAIN, is on OCUK.
