Aorus Master / Extreme (3080+3090) Thread

CRYING FOR HELP!!!!

Hey Lads,

I bought 3080 Aorus Extreme (caseking.de - not competitor as this is the same company) a month ago and for the last week I am trying to register it in dragon center for full 4 years warranty. The SN number from the box match the one on the card but it is not recognized by gigabyte product registration service.

I`ve contacted UK support and they told me : quote " Please send us the serial number from the warranty sticker on the graphics card itself. This one is not recognized by the system. The GVA serial number usually starts with 606 or 607" .

I have checked everywhere but simply there is no warranty sticker on this card, there are only 2 stickers one near power connectors and one small near pci-e connector and they both have the same SN number that matches the one on the box.
It is not starting with GVA instead it is like this SN31273412*** .

Does anyone here have the same issue ??? Also would anyone here care to have quick look at their 3080 and see if there is any other sticker than I just mention.

I`m slowly loosing my sanity here...this was suppose to be premium product...what a joke of a cust service.

Appreciate any help/advice

Why are you trying to register a gigabyte card on MSI dragon center?

GUYS right now since yesterday there are Gybabyte Aorus 3070 Master cards actually in stock, they are hidden in the printer section to make it harder for the bots to snipe them. Gibbo posted about this and I just found out by following the 30 series stock situation post. The link to buy them is right here:

This is not the only one there is also A MSI Supreme version and others just check the printer section not the GPU section.

Hello, I have a fault with the RGB Fusion software with my Aorus 3080 Master. When I load it up all I see is what you can see in the screen shot. Because of this (I think), the small screen on my GPU doesn't display anything correctly. Right now all I can see are gifs of the hawk thing on repeat but I want to be able to see my FPS and GPU Temp. I have attempted to uninstall the RGB Fusion software and reinstall it but I get the exact same screen.

Can anyone suggest a fix for this please?

I put a post on the 'Official' Gigabyte forums but have had no answer after 6 days so I don't think they have any staff watching that forum at all.

Run RGB fusion and let it get into the state shown in the image above. Leave it running, then put your comp to sleep. Then wake it up.

That should kick it into life.

RGB Fusion is garbage. Don't think I'll buy another Gigabyte in future.

Unfortunately that hasn't worked, tried it twice and the first time RGB fusion crashed when I woke the PC up and the second time I got a Please Wait screen and then the same above appeared.

I've also fully deleted Aorus Engine and RGB Fusion 2.0 from my computer, restarted and re-installed and I still get the same screen.

Did anyone else notice that the 3090 Aorus Master now has a Rev2.0 listed with x3 8-pin power connectors?
https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-N3090AORUS-M-24GD-rev-20#kf

Looking through the thread, I saw mention of rev 2.0 for the 3080 Aorus. This is the first I have noticed a rev 2.0 for the 3090 Aorus Master.

I have an Amazon preorder in, with delivery set to arrive appx Feb 14-18. Obviously with as much money as these cards are, I'm concerned about getting a Rev 1.0.

I emailed Gigabyte support about the differences between the 1.0 and 2.0 3090 Aorus Master.

This was their response:
"According to our sales, we have not received any revision 2.0 so it will most likely be a revision 1.0 (from Amazon). The extra PCIe should allow more power to be supplied to the card for more potential boost. This does not necessary mean it would be any faster."

They didn't address my question about if there were any other design changes or bugs.

I don't know about you all, but I don't like the idea that a brand new $1800 GPU has a new revision right out of the launch gate. It makes me suspicious that they've found another hardware issue with it or something. I just need to decide if I should outright cancel it, or let Amazon deliver and attempt to determine which version it is without opening the box and incurring a restocking fee.

I've always bought other vendors products but thought the Aorus line was premium. This experience sure makes me question that.

Yeah I. Had noticed about the rev 2.0 for the master. I've got the the 3080 master vev 1.0. Thought it was a bit of a we silly move to be making a 2.0 lol

For me using my card to mine ETH/BTC it's a hit annoying their flagship cards thermal throttle on the mem. I'm now wondering if the rev 2.0 have addressed the thermal issues on them by putting pads on the back now?

I'm going to have to do my card which will void the 4 year warranty. Not great for something that cost £950 just about get 94 MH/s, she's a noisy one for mining though lol

I presume you've tweaked the clocks and possibly voltages on the card? For my 3080 master I have core clock +155 and mem clock +750, can probably go higher but not got round to testing yet. Not touched the voltages. Temps barely go over 60c during games so wondering how you'd be hitting a thermal limit from solely mining? My card is also pretty much silent.
