Can you turn the ministore arrows off in iT8.0? I can't see an option anymore.
So not much really!New iPod touch, itunes 8 and firmware's 2.1 for iPod Touch + iPhone.
I would have to point out that if Windows had scanned your mp3s and “suggested” you buy some new albums you “might like” off winTunes it would be the most invasive, blatent plugging for it’s own services EVER. When iTunes do it though (after trying to install Safari and MobileMe at the same time for no real reason) these people react as if Steve Jobs himself had hand picked some special edition pressings out for you and sent them to you in a giftbox.
I have a new product for you, and it’s called iRony.

1. Ensure iTunes is not open. Browse to the iTunes Application Data folder (C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes on XP, C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes on Vista, substituting the drive letter and the user profile name where necessary.
2. Backup and open the iTunesPrefs.xml with a half decent text editor (ie not Notepad, my personal preference is Notepad++)
3. Find the User Preferences key, and below the <dict> tag insert:
<key>show-genre-when-browsing</key>
<data>
AA==
</data>
to disable the genre column in the browser, and:
<key>show-store-arrow-links</key>
<data>
AA==
</data>
to disable the links to the store.
4. Start iTunes.
To get back either the genre column or the store links, just remove the respective key.

Anyone else concerned with apples ever increasing malware in there products, a quote someone posted over on another forum:
New itunes stuff is great, but its abit rude how it is constantly trying to install mobile me and other stuff I dont want on my system, without my permission, I hoped the new itunes would have fixed this, but apparently not.
Just tried this and it worked for me, those arrows always seemed pointless.. I already have the song, I dont want to buy it again thanks.Hi, I found this on a blog (would link but it has some inappropriate words)
I haven't tried it yet but I'll give it a go this evening.
Will you be able to use the genius option on the iPhone?
WTF!? Tell me you're joking!I'm more concerned about this interview and how he looked in the keynote. I swear he isnt looking good, and his answers in the above video sometimes seemed sort and sweet. Not over excited as usual.
