Schiller is used as a bit of a joke sometimes but I'm sure he's useful in the right circumstances.
His demo today was pretty awful and awkward, I found, not aided by the car in Need for Speed disappearing at one stage and him scoring one of the softest goals in any football game that you're likely to see. His performance in Spore Origins wasn't much better, he kept getting bitten.
All in all the keynote was what I realistically expected. There's always the hope in the back of your mind that something big does come up but it can't keep happening every time Apple have a keynote, they would run out of potential products and start making useless un-necessaries for the market.
Their quietness over the last two keynotes indicates to me that they're working extremely hard on something new or that they're continuing to keep the iPhone on the nipple of the company.
Whilst we all want new shiny things to go 'Oooh' at, getting the iPhone right is a sensible priority at the moment. It's going to hopefully be the kickstart of many people switching over to Macs full time and after the MobileMe incidents, they've a lot of making up to do in terms of user experience.
Today was only ever a nice update. Thought the new Nano colours were excellent and refreshing, the Nike+ built into the Touch was a nice feature to have and the new designed slimness and shiny back makes it look like a much better product.
All being well, the 2.1 update for the iPhone will cure a lot of people's problems and there'll be less to complain about all round.
