I've just got a gold 128gb wifi and initially I'm very impressed, as my previous iPad was the iPad 3 the weight is about the same anyway. The sound is much better and the screen is great. I'll probably get the pencil but the keyboard looks a bit naff and very un-apple like.

Pretty remarkable to hear that it outperforms Intel i5 chips in benchmarks. It wasn't long ago that you had to choose between performance (x86) and power efficiency (ARM). Now you get both in the same chip.

Can't be long until Apple produces a laptop that runs on an ARM chip. Surface RT was a failure but Apple already has experience in moving PC architectures and can probably convince its developers to move more easily.

Surface 4 or this? Undecided really!

I've just started moving into the Apple world (do a lot of design and photography), so would like to get a decent tablet to replace my old laptop...

I would love one but still holding off at the moment. If it had a port of OSX I wouldn't of thought twice about it. I know my luck, if I buy one the Pro 2 next year will have some form of OSX...

At those prices I'd rather get a Surface 4. I'm in Palo Alto right now and can get an i7 8GB 256GB SSD for £945 inc. my student discount (doing a part time MSc).

Think that is much better than an 128GB IPad Pro.

I've got one coming as my boss ordered it for me as a thanks for some recent work, wouldn't spend my own money on it but quite looking forward to using it for some light image editing. Should arrive early next week so will report back then.

I'm wondering if my new iPad Pro is faulty. If I push the screen with pretty light force, or on the rear shell in the centre about 1-2" above the Touch ID sensor I can hear hear a pretty bad creaking sound. Like the iPad is flexing and touching something inside.

Does anyone else's have this issue?
