Apple locks NVidia GPUs out of new operating system Mojave

The problem with Nvidia is that they just don't play well with others.

I'm waiting for Apple to come out and say that the 20 series is underwhelming, that they tested hundreds of cards and only 12 worked ;)

If there were doing a merger or a buy out (like how Apple acquired Beats) then may be yes, but not when trying to strikeout a deal; try to get 2 alpha males to work together just ain't gonna work, but both of them want it all :p

Nothing like alphas, though, just two rams which fight with their own stubbornness on both sides - and on the edge of а rock in front of a high abyss.

The big point here is that most Apple Macs are using GPUs for applications other than games, such as image processing. This is why the RTX cards are such a mess with features which users who are not gamers are never going to use. Quadro cards might well be the norm for many - but again they are unsupported, and the cheaper cards also unsupported are not as cost effective as the AMD cards anyway.

Graphics design is a big user of Mac and take a look at how many of the broadcasters use Apple poroducts because they are fashionable.

Claiming non-gamers can't utilise tensor cores is nonsense.
