Leopard and Snow Leopard have been developer builds more than anything else - they're building towards something much bigger. I was hoping Lion was going to be it but it looks like another developer build - with my fear of it going down the route of iOS being realised.

You mis-understand me. Most of the big features for the two weren't shown at the "Sneak Peak" event. They were all revealed much closer (at wwdc) to the final release. Leopard, in particular, changed quite substantially from when they initially gave a "Sneak Peak" of it. It looked very similar to tiger initially. When they did the final reveal and announced the release date, it had changed quite a bit more.

They are hints in the bits we were shown today as to the direction that OS X is taking. I would be very surprised if we didn't see a lot more new UI in summer 11.

So Apple spend most of 2010 telling us how pointless netbooks are, then release one over four times the price of 'normal' netbooks. You have to laugh. :D

Is it actually a netbook though? or just a small notebook/laptop? as C2D is good, but once again the silly prices has probably lost over 50% of people who were interested when they said $999 (£630)

im out :(

but just wandering, can anyone supply the HE prices for the Macs?

How many times will people falsely assume that american prices should be much lower in the UK.

We will never see a $999 at the exact exchange rate of £630 im afraid.

Americans have to add state sales and other taxes (Give or take another 10-15% of the $999 price) on top of the $999. Our price includes all taxes.

Folks, may look at getting an MBA, but I have a few questions.

1. Im a Distance Learning Student at a University, does it qualify me for HE prices?
2. If I purchase under HE, would I be eligble for the 2 week DSR period?
