So the 3.5mm Headphone socket on the bottom now right...? rather irritating place to put it.

Seems like a much more logical place to put it. When you put it in your pocket/pull it out it'll be the right way around and the cable won't get caught up when using it.

Yeah, that's dumb. One that's the same width as the phone with a 3.5mm jack as well would make much more sense.
