Apple post record profits.

Yeah I prowl the mean streets of Portsmouth at night jumping out at Apple product owners and surprise bumming them!

A hipster, yesterday, celebrating Apple's rise in stock.

People forget that there are also other countries in the world where sales of apple products would be very small due to it's prices. Go to any of the Easter European countries and see what phones/computers sell well and what is advertised, I'm not saying anything about some 3rd world countries but the very well developed countries that are part of EU.

What's your point?

LOL @ poor people bitching about apple

If you're really that fussed about a spending a bit extra on consumer electronics then perhaps you should have worked harder at school. They do generally look nicer, their products are better designed than most from a functional pov and some people really aren't that bothered about paying a bit more for this.

For the record I use both - I have a PC for work related stuff (excel is **** on a mac) and a macbook for general personal use. I also prefer my iphone over work blackberry.

:o

No words. Should have sent... a poet!

I'm not a trend setter nor very hip but I had to have an ipod touch it's simply amazing piece of kit. I can switch it on and instantly have safari and check e-mails without having to turn a PC on by the time my PC has run it's POST screens i've got the info from my touch. For me it's indispensable oh and being able to by games for 99p as opposed to 29.99 (ds lite anyone) is such a joy and is probably still making loads of profit for apple as well.

Only thing they could do better would be itunes but even then it's not too bad just not as user friendly as it could be.

Why don't you use something you obviously payed well over the odds for then?

I get like a red mist and buy loads of stuff sometimes, mainly gadgets. ;)

To be fair I did use it for a while (and a Mac Mini before) but since installing Windows 7 on this old PC I haven't looked back. I can do everything I need to, games, mobile phone apps and work applications without having to worry about running a VM all the time. I love the look and feel of the Macbook (I have a unibody one) but the lack of software and some of the 'community' have put me right off.

I switched, now I've switched back.

Saw a recent documentary about Apple's rise to power.

When Steve Jobs moves on Apple will go back to obscurity.

They are currently in vogue nothing more or less, they are a brand and fashion statement that had innovation in the mp3 market.

I also agree with owning a Mac is a Fashion statement. I think it's a wealth statement too.
