apple store down!

are the prices still the same for both the macbook and the pro or have they been reduced?

The gap between the MB and the MBP definitely has been reduced big time with this set of updates
 
The new updates are pretty nice, the MB needed LED backlit screens badly.

To be honest the MBP update is tempting, bar the internal HDD space.

I wonder why the UK store doesn't have the same graphics cards as the US store update. Someone forgot to update that part?

Edit: Looks like it, just had a look at the compare specs page.
 
So has the UK Macbook Pro got the 512MB 8600GT ? or is it still on the 256MB one? I can't access the store her so just wondering.

I'll be ordering one of these tonight :) iv been waiting 4.5 months now lol

They all have 512MB 8600GT M (higher specs, cheapest has 256mb). It's just the text hasn't been updated on the UK store.

Congrats on the MacBook Pro :)

The new MB havn't got the LED screens have they?

And are the penryn processors just on the MBP's?
 
Gah, got my MB about 5 days ago, would it cost me to return it? Seems silly when I can get more HD and a slughtly faster processor for the same money today.

Also would like to know if there have been any other changes to MB's, screen or anything?
 
Hmmm tempted to sell my old MacBook (an original one on release) for one of the new ones

Anyone know how much I'd get roughly for mine and whether the extra for a new one would be worth it
