apple store down!

I've decided, no MBP for me..

I'll wait for the iMac update in the coming week(s) and max that :)

iPhone SDK
iMac revision
Time Capsule

Plenty of goodies to come in the next 2 weeks ;)
 
Bought my MB less than two weeks ago. Bit miffed tbh, especially as the RAM was faulty.
I chose not to return it at the time because I didn't want the hassle.

It's within 14 days of delivery, if I return it do you reckon they'll replace it with a new spec MB?

i think there's a restocking fee of £25 or so but I rekon it would be worth it for the new spec.

I'm waiting for my Dell 3008, once that's here then it's apple tv time. In a way I'm looking forward to the apple tv more than the MBP.

Can I ask why the time capsule? Sure it's a good product in some ways but if you're getting the iMac then the wireless backup is somewhat wasted and a firewire HDD would be cheaper?

You misunderstand, they are on Apple's "coming soon" list, not my personal "to buy" list.

Being they've all been announced to ship within February, and the iMac is now overdue for updates then that was my speculation as to what Apple may introduce in the coming weeks.

I have an AirPort Extreme, so I only want a new iMac out of those products that I listed :)

Ah that explains it, I'm considering the iMac revision as well when it turns up...
 
My repaired iMac is due back tomorrow, so pending it arrives then it should get a good few days on the 'bay before next week's updates.

I'm hoping they'll add a 3.0GHz option, better graphics card, and update the Bluetooth to 2.1 specifications.
 
To be honest the current higher spec 20" would do me fine, if they up the graphics memory and upgrade to penryn and 2GB of RAM as standard I'll be well pleased.

What sort or upgrades can we expect on the imac? Also when can we expect the upgrades to take effect? within the next 2 or 3 weeks? My imac hasnt been shipped yet so I can still cancel it and wait for the updated one ;)

Going on past trends it's due an update anytime soon, I'd bet the next 2 weeks if I had to..

I'm guessing the latest CPU architecture, codenamed Penryn, hopefully this will accompany a bump to 3.0GHz however, don't quote me.

Going on the recent MBP updates then I'd also say a GPU bump or BTO option of 512MB VRAM.

Take this how you will, but I'd wait the 3 weeks if you can..
 
I figured they'd be on the horizon, still waiting for one to get for my parents. Although, I'm wanting to get one more now as I know I'll be living there for a while when I finish uni :)

Thanks for the reply.. I can wait for the new one as I do not need the imac so badly.. Canceling my order now!
 
Very tempted to get a shiny MacBook soon, nice speedboost although shame about no LED screen upgrade :( Still with 2Gb of RAM as standard and a 160Gb Hard Drive, seems a good deal. HE price of only £713 for the 2.4Ghz MB :)
 
After nearly a month of anxiously waiting every Tuesday i can finally order my lovely MBP 2.5 15" model. Cant wait till it arrives!!!
