Apple vs Samsung, court orders Samsung to show Apple 5 new phones

They were hoping to leave it up for a couple of weeks, let the fuss die down and then change it when no-one would look at it anyway.
They made a silly excuse for not being able to do it immediately and the Judge called them on it, quite right too.

VirnetX, who won $368m for Apple this week for patent infringement is going to have another go: http://www.theverge.com/2012/11/9/3...rm-sues-apple-again-after-368-million-verdict

So is this a change in tactic? Or is it that HTC isn't a big player with declining market and seem to be focusing more on wp8 than android, which of course apple and MS have allready got several deals in place.

Apple and Taiwanese phonemaker HTC have settled all their outstanding disputes over patents, ending a fight that began in March 2010.

The two firms also signed a 10-year licence agreement that will extend to current and future patents held by one other.

HTC competes with Apple, Samsung and others in phones and tablets.

Apple has been embroiled in a series of "patent wars" with phone makers and with arch-rival Google.

Rumour is they'll be getting between £6 to £8 for each HTC Android handset sold. All that means for me is that buying a HTC handset is out of the question now as I don't want a single penny of any money I spend going to apple.

In related news, Virnetx Holding Corporation is suing apple again after winning $368.2m. This time for infringing their patents in the Iphone 5, Ipod Touch 5th Generation, Ipad 4th Generation, Ipad Mini, and the latest Macintosh computers as these were not included in the original suit since they weren't released at the time of filing. Hoping for a massive payout due to the popularity of these products.

Shame they are not a device manufacturer competing with Apple as they would more than likely do an "Apple" and get an ITC ban on the devices that infringed :D

Better for Virnetx to get a licencing deal = constant money flow.
