Apple vs Samsung, court orders Samsung to show Apple 5 new phones

It seems that everyone here expect one has this memory problem. :D

"Everyone here"?

I didn't think it was unfair to assume people with an 'interest' in mobile devices would recognise the logo of the worlds largest app store?

Given the context of the discussion and the forum it's in, it's likely selective ignorance. In fact, it almost definitely is.

I have an interest in mobile devices excluding iphones though.

I don't care for them so no wonder I don't know what the app store logo is.

Can't be that unreasonable to think some people genuinelly don't recognise it.

My turn, what's the Windows Phone 7 zune store icon?

The little bag with a Windows logo on it.

No, that's fair enough. It wasn't very clear on the original picture anyway. Also, I'd assume most people have at some point used an iPhone/iPad/iPod touch and would recognise it.

I just had to look at my phone to see what the Android App Store logo was :p.

Just so you can see it better. Anyone that has used an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad for more than a few seconds would instantly recognise that unless they have some sort of memory loss problem.

At least I'd expect so anyway. The same would apply for the Android Market symbol under the same circumstances.

Nope me neither... That's for the Android symbol as well. I've used both for a short time but doesn't mean I take notice specifically of what the symbols look like.

From iOS 2 onwards (apps via j/b was available before then though)

Is that the one with a green square? :D

You know I have a WP and had to check it to see what the marketplace symbol was...:o

On the other hand it would be easy to know what company it came from as its a shopping bag with the windows symbol (four squares) on...

EDIT: actually I would be able to pick out the android marketplace icon, its sensible, having an android logo and bag... If apple added their apple logo to the front then it would be a lot clearer.

Or have never used Apple stuff, despite bashing it all the time ;)

It's fairly obvious on the phone, it says 'App Store' under it :p

I am not intentionally trying to stir apple vs samsung wars or anything however can anyone tell me how apple can patent strolling and zooming, can patents get that... specific?

The discussion of both products' look and feel was similar to arguments laid out in earlier European cases, although Apple is also claiming that specific patents have been infringed. These relate to the Galaxy Tab's unlocking, scrolling and zooming features, said the Sydney Morning Herald.

I cant remember what the issue with zooming was, but the scrolling issue is with over scroll. EG when you get the the end of the page and then a grey background shows through, when you let go of the scroll, the page bounces back to the end.
