Apple's Delivery Times = Shoddy at Best

Um, maybe because shipping headphones is a helluva lot easier than a laptop? Just a thought?

Edit: And the headphones got shipped out earlier than your whateverbook. And the headphones were sitting there ready to be sent out by the seller, very simply. Not a large company which has many processes to follow. Heck, they might have even had to custom-build the laptop or whatever.

Dear God, thou art a bad soul. I suggest you join the Landover Baptist forums for some enlightenment!

Can I ask why you think its APples fault and not TNT's who are doing the actual delivering? And to be fair a more expensive parcel might take longer due to it going through more security etc or being taken better care of?

I think you are complaining about nothing tbh.

LOL . The headphones were ordered and shipped after the laptop had shipped. Im complaining THAT much. I just dont get why it takes so long. Stop ganging up on me anyway. I might start booing my booerbauer eyes out :p

Because they have to take the damn thing through the Suez Canal! :p

apple have been great for me tbh for instance when my ipod borked and i went on the website to request rma within 2 days ups came asked for me ipod packed it for me and that was that then another few days later got new ipod i wouldnt call that bad customer care i was very impressed

You know you can buy a notebook of identical spec tot he macbookpro for several hundred pounds cheaper, then you can install linux on it. hey presto, a mac (almost).

Looking at those TNT tracking details, I'm quite impressed actually. I certainly wouldn't be moaning if it took a mere five days to get something from Shanghai to Northampton via Shanghai Airport, Pudong, Amsterdam and Arnhem. You have to bare in mind that it's being shipped with a load of other stuff, flights get delayed, earlier consignments fall behind schedule and take priority etc. I wouldn't be bothered if it was sat in Shanghai for three days either; think how many hundreds of thousands of Apple laptops they will have been dealing with at the same time as yours. Delivery times can vary wildly, and you really shouldn't get worked up because you got a pair of headphones from China faster than your laptop from Shanghai. Especially considering it looks like you'll be getting your laptop before the estimated delivery date.

Provided it's not a competitor, could you please tell me where I could get a laptop with a 1.83GHz Intel Core Duo processor, 15.4" widescreen display, 512MB DDR2 RAM, an 80GB SATA hard drive and a 128MB ATi Mobility Radeon X1600 for less than £1429? As I said earlier, I'm genuinely interested to hear a response :)

I've stopped dealing with apple now, their service is so unpredictable its just not on
either they are REALY good (sometimes)
or they are REALY crap (more often than not)
their systems look good and all but now they don't even have performance on their side (Intel Chip Powerbook < same chip in Acer laptop 400MHz slower and £500 cheaper.)
