Aquiss

You sign up now for instance £18 a month for 6 months then £36 a month after. Over 12 months equivalent to £27 a month.
After the 12 months can you sign up for another 12 months and get a deal again or are you stuck paying £36 a month.
Oh sorry, I thought you were saying you could do this ratehr than asking if you can. I don't think you can unless you cancel your contract and start a new one.

Would any of you chaps on Aquiss kindly run the testmy.net latency test and share the results link? You don't need to post a screenshot, I only did that to show you all what it is. Just click the green 'Test My Latency' button on the top left, and it will check every location in the list. The test takes a couple of minutes, but it should be very interesting to see the differences.

My results from VM Gig1 (which are crap, even on OpenWrt with cake and layer cake), tested from a 12 thread Ryzen 5500U machine over Ethernet:

@Rainmaker I just wanted to post here to say thanks; I'd not seen the testmy site before and it's quite interesting.

VM XGS-PON from outside Manchester for reference:

Cloudflare seems to be all over the place, but rest were pretty flat.
Wow that is some really low variance. XGS-PON means it's a Nexfibre area right?

What do you get for this test?

I have asked and they told me in no uncertain terms that this wasn't supported, and if I wanted to chase low prices I'd be better served else where

Apparently next month open reach is opening up 1.8gbps to other ISPs next month so Im waiting to see if any deals pop up around that even though Im not interested in 1.x gb

In the past I've gone to higher download packages on VM and OR just to get more upload speed, but sadly these new ones barely change that so a pass for me as well.

Yes agreed, Im just hoping by adding a new "premium" tier maybe get a good gb deal. I have 0 interest in changing out my network gear to support 1gb+ at the moment.
