Arc Raiders

Bought this on Saturday, and haven't stopped playing (save for my job). First-timer in this genre, and I think it is great. It is the urgency, stealth and suspense that really appeals. It is tough grind as a newbie mind.

Out of interest, how do you guys set up your inventory. I fairly frequently die so I have to recraft/repurchase a decent weapon etc. Do you keep one in your inventory prior to a mission, in case you die?

Also, should I be holding onto the odd legendary/epic item, which I can't use (including trinkets), or should I sell these now, as I am only a peasant at this stage?

Its best to view everything as a commodity, and not worry too much about losing kit, the balance between legendary and free loadout guns isn't enough to make it worth hoarding them for a special occasion ,they aren't that special yet.

You can trade free loadout augments with low level ones for free with the medical trader, this will get you free safe pockets.

Blueprints are invaluable and worth having a safe pocket for, if you are heading out for a hunt, but i think night raids are locked until you get to a certain level anyway.

Focus on levelling up your benches and maxing out your inventory space first. you can track which resources you need to make it a bit clearer when looting.

Use your mic.

I've frequently had the bug where I can't interact with anything, but entering and exiting my inventory with tab clears the issue.

I assume this isn't an option on the steam deck? It might be the same bug, complicated by different key binds?

I had this and worked out it was because I had something out, or had jumped or something... I had to kind reset myself then it worked

Yeah, I usually see 'press e to use zipline' or some other interact message on my screen, even when I'm miles away from the last zipline/object.

It seems to be an interact bug, but like I said, if I tab in and out of my inventory the issue goes away.

This is good to know, I got attacked by one of those spiders, and the "e" referenced the zipline i.e. "press 'e' to go up the zipline": I ended up dying from a ridiculous spider!!

I will start systematically selling my hoarded epic/legend items therefore!

gutted. I was just at extract and outside was a bunch of stuff. I was picking it up and last thing was a weapon blue print. why someone dropped it I dunno as no body there. went to pick it up and my inventory was full. whilst in a menu trying to drop some worthless crap ingot taken out by an ARC. I did still extract. but had to leave the blue print on the ground.

as for the bug where you are frozen. I can get out of that ok but on the steamdeck that comes with another bug tied to it where your inventory is broken. cant loot or select items etc .

I am starting to craft a lot more now. I may as well use the junk I have as my stash is constantly full and my next stash upgrade is 200k which am not sure is worth it.
also.

Cold snap update is out! Patch notes are massive, there's loads of great stuff, BUT...

The bad news. They added a cred cap limit of 800. Those of you who are above that keep your creds but can't earn more, so no reason to do daily Feats anymore. I'm 4,249/800. They have also added to the traders the ability to buy certain things with reputation credits and not coins these have their own daily limits it looks like. This is just stupid, there's no reason for me for do daily trials now...just shoot people.

Wow. That's a huge step backwards.

I'm looking forward to the update, I didn't realise it was adding a frostbite mechanic. That's going to force a lot more player interactions and competition for loot I imagine.

Right now my inventory is full of snitch scanners because I had been farming them with the plan to try and get in the top ten to get the outfit reward.

But real life intervened, as it so often does, and I haven't been able to get on at all. So that was a lot of wasted prep and no reward.

New cinematic options for draw distance and shadows make a massive difference

Edit - now they just need to sort HDR!!

They have updated the Expedition stash progress too (still need to set Windows date to 19/12/2025).

Guess I'll burn my extra on Trader goods to up my stash value, agree it seems like an odd change though.

excuse my ignorance but what is the point of creds other than to fill out those cards anyway? ie is there any point hoarding them?.
(note not arguing with you or defending it, am just wondering what we lose out on with this cap.

Previously I think you could only spend them on the Raider decks, so allowing us to spend them on a selection of items with traders is a positive change I think, but the cap seems a little pointless and seems to be there just to enforce using them up almost as soon as you have earned them.

I would like to know if for those who choose to "reset" will the reset activate at the same time for everyone?

I have been collecting blue prints for the last couple of weeks. My plan was to have my friend reset before me, I then pass all my blue prints to him, then re set myself and have him pass them back.

Does anyone want a GeForce Reward code for Electrician Backpack: Emerald Wave Variant.

I don't play the game.

If I die I tend to just do free loadouts until a decent gun comes along, then if I survive I'll start upgrading that gun. A few extracts later you're back up to decent weapons.

The only noticeable bugs I've come across are getting stuck in the environment and a weird one where if I climb a ladder or use a zipline the E still stays on leaving you unable to climg anything else, now fixed according to the notes

Yes please!

Hell of an update that is, crikey! shows the commitment of the developers though, some good changes and bug fixes, random security breach spawns! toggle ADS at last!
