Arc Raiders

Yeah, tonight was bad ... that's the worst I've experienced in-game thus far. But I'm sure it will calm down when the casuals like @Tombstone quit and move on to pastures new ;)
Yeah, I'm already bored of all the tension and excitement and fun. I'm playing Gollum these days, bargain at just £42 on Steam, cant understand why people dont rate it. Gamers be cray

Really enjoyed my runs tonight with buddies even though we got downed a couple of times.

For me it’s getting better and better with a higher enjoyment factor when playing as a duo or trio, although it can be a bit more sweaty than solo’s.

With some tweaks and QoL improvements I can seeing going from strength to strength as they really nailed the atmosphere, tension, visuals and audio. GOTY contender for sure.

Agreed especially when you compare it the prices of some triple-a games

I haven't had any crashes, but was getting some crazy desync this evening. On the positive side finally got the security breach skill.
Today was productive, level 4 on my project, level 49 character, Scrappy's upgrades are finally max, all but 1 workbenches are maxed, all quests done apart from the bugged one  Deck 100% completed, 1 million coins in the bank. :D

Lol and again, another brainless dolt. Guy is absolutely plastered in loot, carrying a scoped rifle, at the extraction point near to me. Sees me and decides to throw a shock nade at me and open fire, needless to say I return fire and kill him and take all his good loot and his scoped rifle. Like the guy yesterday, he could have extracted with all that but nooooo, has to go and be all violent instead. Some people just cant help themselves :D

EDIT: HA ! and another one on the very next run, guy has a heavy shield on, an epic mk3 augment, fully upgraded anvil and ferro with all mods on him and a bunch of good loot in his backpack, instead of exiting he sees me, I see him, and he opens fire with the ferro, drops my shield and then pushes for the kill, but gets promptly killed by my Stitcher. Loses all his stuff. Again, another fellow who could have simply extracted safely in 30secs time but loses it all because he shot first :)

Had one yesterday with the "Don't shoot, hi raider!" etc., and then when my back was turned, he did me over. Then on the flip side, I got caught out in the open getting mullered by the arc, and a higher-ranked player came and helped me out. I didn't think I would like the unpredictability and jeopardy but I do!

I've still not yet had one say dont shoot etc and then attack, both the ones this morning were people who saw me, paused and then made the choice to attack rather than "betraying" , but its bonkers to me that they chose to attack whilst carrying very good loot. These are the sorts of people who would win at a casino and then go outside into a dark alley and start a fight with a gang lol , theres a time and place for aggressive manoeuvres, when you're carrying the shinies isnt the time :D

I think what would be cool would be to be able to follow your killer in spectator mode like in some battle royales. (Solo's this is easy to do, but for groups it would only be available after your whole team are dead)
The tech is there already as you can follow a team member if you get knocked out.
Watching them get their comeuppance would relieve the sting a little of losing gear to them. :D

I went into a raid for the first time this morning carrying something that wasn't just a Ferro or a Rattler - I had an anvil that I found earlier in the week. I was in the swamp area on Dam Battlegrounds and heard someone breaching so I threw a "Don't Shoot" out there got a "Don't Shoot" back but whatever I did, I just couldn't actually find where she was. A few minutes later I gave up and started moving out of the area and she shot me from range and I just had no idea where she was and she took me down. I was disappointed to loose the Anvil without firing a shot.

Going into the next raid, I told myself I'd shoot first, ask questions later so I picked up another Anvil and tried again. I went into one of the control towers and again, heard someone breaching and moving about. I waited in the corner of the room for about 15 seconds and he opened the door and I took him out. The guy was really annoyed but when I looted him he had a blueprint for a rifle (I forgot which one) and some of the pink, high value loot. I got to the lift in the swamp, called the lift and got the heck out of their real quick.

To quote Bob Ross, "you need the darks in order to see the light" :D

Played a few rounds this morning and many of the players I stumbled across were acting cagey when I approached / communicated with them. Ended up in a few firefights and downed several. Before finishing my session I managed to upgrade another workshop to tier 3 and completed a few more quests ( can't be many left to do ). It was then I noticed my microphone switch was set to off. Oops.

Anyway ...

I saved a Dam control tower key for ages, had loads of matches with friendly encounters and built up a reasonable loadout, and as soon as I use that key someone ambushes me inside the room, and takes all the stuff!

Still it's easy enough when you have loads of materials to craft new stuff, or just go free loadout.
