With 122 hours, level 71 and everything done, and an inventory full of rares and epics. I think I might be close to being done. The game is good and I'm glad I had fun at launch but the cracks are starting to show now.
I don't know how they matchmake skills or loadout values, but there clearly is something, free kit solos almost always play vs free kits and the lobby is almost always friendly. But the downside is that if you like some of the rare weapons and you take one, or possibly 2, with upgrade and mods. You get matched with ultra sweats. I'm generally OK at holding my own, I'm not the best PvPer but I'm OK, and I win quite a lot of the exchanges I get into. But it's the CONSTANT third personing, or 4th. Someone hears the fight, they pop up and dome the winner. There's literally nothing you can do about that, there's too many elements out of your control. And I feel that even if you matchmake your skill evenly with other players, the odds of you successfully winning like 3 fights in a row to get to the extract is small.
It's now become that custom loadouts is kind of a death sentence, it's very rare I come out of a custom loadout game with rares equipped, this frustrates me no end because some of the coolest guns are rares. With everything done and all there is left is to fight, I find myself having the most fun with free kit and low tier gear, but it's become repetitive and boring. It feels like these are 2 extremes and there's no middle ground, extracting feels more like sheer luck most of the time.
