Arc Raiders

I got stuck at a place too, and after having not been able to move for a while (maybe a minute or so), the game popped up a 'untuck' prompt, holding down the spacebar then got me unstucked and I could continue. I know it wont help you now but thought I mention it if it happens to you again. First I thought the game crashed for me because it looked like it was restarting but it just repositioned me slightly better and I could continue.
ahh awesome, cheers :)

Have you got a source for this?

Are there any details, specifics?

Like how does it work if you matching duos one one care bear and one Rambo?

How many matches do you need to be passive etc?

I've got about 90 hours in and if I'm honest I'm not sure about it, it seems very much random to me.

I would say behaviour changes more on whats going on with the game is a bigger sense, eg when they announced the £5m thing people where shooting everyone, although towards the end of this week it calmed down a bit.

But last 5 solo games I've been attacked more than once per game and I have been (trying at least) to play passive.

Depends which source you click.

A few YouTubers have experimented this, it wasn't scientific, merely testing a theory. On Stella Montis (of all maps) running around, greeting people and generally being approachable. For the most part was ignored as raider carried on looting. Then decided to try running towards someone with gun drawn and not saying anything, kinda obvious that someone would get spooked and open fire. It was more common sense than comfirming what the official said about 'behaviour matching'.

Also I believe a lot of players had reached end game with nothing to do, got bored and decided to PvP. Now they've been given the expedition deadline and 5 million credits to gather beforehand, they're all busy looting and not killing each other.

It was getting ridiculous last week, couldn't go anywhere without being shot at or killed. Tonight I've been going into spaceport without a gun and being proactive on the mic, running into a building using "don't shoot" emoji and not getting griefed at all. Haven't witnessed any PvP either. I'm sure now I've said all this I'm going to get jumped next time I play..

I am talking about soloing mind, which is all I do, I can't vouch for duos or groups of 3.

sweet i been killed loads but only killed 2 or 3 players in all my time on it, makes me a bit warm and fuzzy that the ambushers i have encountered might be getting matched with bigger ones :)
FWIW I'm friendly, I very rarely get hassled by other players. mostly i jump in, shoot a few arc's and often team up with other randos to get the bigger clankers and their loot.

(I have never done it) however does anyone randomly shoot players when you are about to extract? it has happened to me a few times and i was thinking at the time what was the point.

however i am wondering if players do it who dont want to kill other players and screw their raid up, but at the same time are trying to knock off the daily challenge.....

thinking about it it does seem like a victimless way of getting some creds.

unless the game sees that as aggro and adds you to the naughty list.

Usually for a daily challenge. Dmg other raiders with light/medium/shotgun weapons etc.

Or it's possible they were unable to ignore the voices in their head screaming at them to do it.

I've not done it, but the voices are getting loud.

Matchmaking was slow yesterday evening/night (longest wait was 15 mins). Sometimes going in as a solo I'd come up against trios (and get instantly deleted) and sometimes going in as a duo and coming up against solos.

I'd consider myself a "only shoot someone if shot at first" kinda guy but feel like a lot of matches this past week have been a lot more aggressive. Am I being tagged as a PVP'er because I shoot people (coz I'm defending myself)? 46 take-downs in 24 hours doesn't feel like a lot to me.

something was going on last night, i think the game was just putting people in where ever it could to get them in game. i too noticed teamers when i was solo as well as a lot more aggressive gameplay than i have experienced before.

i suspect the matchmaking was either temporarily kaput (i hope this is the case) or the devs are trying something new behind the scenes (i hope not as i wont stick with the game if this becomes regular. a 5+ min wait in a lobby only to get taken out after being in game for a few mins, losing my stuff then having to start again is not fun for me.

(I was on steamdeck) I also had a bunch of crashes - fortunately all in the lobby - and have never experienced that before either... in my previous 20hrs in game i have had 1, maybe 2 crashes.

yesterday over maybe 5 hrs i had probably 10. also a weird bug where when in game i cant loot anything, and if i go into my inventory it was corrupt and i could not move after.

i had seen this on one occasion before, but happened multiple times yesterday.

Last night I had a network time out error whilst sorting my inventory in Speranza which forced me to quit the game. Had a longer than usual wait to join a raid (even the practice map) upto 2 mins though, not excessive.

I think the weekend is a bit more gank friendly tbh! I'll test out the theory tomorrow though!

100% this. It allows me to complete the challenge without actually ruining anyone's game. Works perfectly tbh.
my only concern is like already mentioned. the game sees you as a ganker and changes how it matchmakes you.

in general i would say 80%+ of my player interactions are not agressive and i would like to keep it that way
