Oops, I have just bought Funeral, thinking it was their new album :( :( :(

Is the new album in the shops now? Someone has said it isn't out until march but lots of you seem to of listened to it already.

I have no idea what you are talking about :p

I also bought Just Jack's album today. I feel like i want to dance....

Why would you want to put stars in their eyes?

I am going to a Brixton date. I saw them a couple of years ago at Birmingham as well, slightly bigger venue this time though.

sweet, i have dutch tickets set in place, and also wednesday Brixton, which i will prob sell and get some dutch ones and take the misses! - this guy from the AF forums offer me two at face value, so if i can get cheap flights then wey hey!

listened to it twice through now. I think cars don't go is going to be a big hit for them. my body is a cage is another monster. i like black wave when it changes dramatically too.
a good 21st centuary band they are ;)

I do like the album but much prefer Arcade Fire and Funeral still.

Adnd btw why is No Cars Go on the album considering that song was released in 2002? (About 30 seconds shorter too)

yeah i know what you mean, i have overkilled the first album so neon bible is fresh, i remeber having a copy of 'no cars go' glad they added it to the album though because it fits and needed a proper airing for new fans

Enjoying it so far. They apparently recorded it in a converted church and did the organ parts in a Cathedral.

Going up to Manc (from Cardiff) to see them on Friday. Worth the drive. They are one of the best bands i've seen live. They really put everything into it when i saw them at the Bristol Acad a few years back.

Radio 6 / Phill Jupitus was comparing them to Radiohead this morning which is a bit weird. Though i only did catch the end of the review.

I don't know anything about this band other than what a 54 year old workmate said today which was "The new Arcade Fire album is probably the best album I've ever heard in my life".
He is weird though.

I think this may be an addition to my "no skipping tracks required" albums. 'My body is a cage' is my current favourite.

Bloody brilliant album:D

What is this music similar too?

that's just it, that's what makes them so good, in my view they don't sound similar to anyone, i guess that's why i like them so much, something very diffirent

It sounds a bit like their first album, after that you would be struggling to find many comparissons.

Maybe one of the older Spiritualized albums? Something like "Let It Come Down"? Or the one before maybe?
