ArcheAge, Ultima Online's rebirth?

Yeah my patron ran out now and won't be renewing either. I'll keep it installed for now and have a gander when the new continent opens up but i can't see me sticking with it even then.

I think my expectations for the game were too high tbh.
 
just make 3 alts they don't share labour potion cooldown with your main but labour is account wide.

8k labour each day

once you have profs leveled you won't need all that labour anyway.

8k labour would last me about 12 hours fishing and allow me to catch around 103 fish not counting labour regen from ticks which would at least 800 gold

Well Archeage is a really good game at design level but I'm stopping playing now. The amount of hacking that is visibly going on and goldselling etc is just annoying. Add into that there is now a regrade+upgrade hack and you wonder what the point is in a PVP orientated game. It's shame as the freedom allowed and some of the design choices are just excellent and I've not enjoyed a MMO such as this in a long time but Trion - I certainly won't be playing one of their games again but I do give a lot of credit to XL Games.

you say just like it a 5 min job, the time and gold sink for the above is enough for me not to pay a sub:)

the banned loads of people, took loads of hacked account gold and worker pots out of the game etc.

it just took them awhile

Yep, they did something but with a F2P you can create accounts faster than they can ban them at no risk.

I will look back now and then but I flogging my land off on Dahuta as we speak.
 
Is anyone playing on Aier at the moment, having trouble finding anyone running guild's/likeminded people that want to tear it up, it's a relatively small server in comparison to Kyprosia. That being said, good game the hacking and bot outbreak was a disgrace as was the uber slow queue time lack of preperation luckily Scapes stuck about and kept everyone on Reddit clued up which I respect my only issue at the moment is I genuinely feel really lost and despite not being new to MMO's I feel like a newbie at level 35 with so much content available.

It's not even excitement of all the opportunities, I genuinely feel overwhelmed

any time I reported bots recently I've had the bot kill confirmed mail within a few hours
 
Good job you guys aren't on NA server, took me 17 tries to get in server after patch (well after I woke up at 12.30am) Headed calmlands or what ever it's called, guild had just started on castle, finished it then I crashed out game and not been able to get back in since because of the crappy patch they did.
 
It's funny reading the original posts in this thread and seeing how the game actually turned out.

I still have my character but I really can't be bothered playing. All of the 'cool' stuff is way too easily available. This game is nothing like Ultima Online except maybe the scarcity of housing.

Hi Ben,

Not sure whether your still looking for a guild or what type of guild your looking for, but I've joined a small guild on Aier which is a quite mature and casual bunch.

I was there and my guild managed to get a castle on the Jaundar server! <Try Hard> will reign supreme. the release on EU was smooth from my experience, although had a few blue screens since the patch..

LP system has not been an issue for me, slowly made my way up to 15k husbandry and not bothering with anything other than fishing or my farms.
For the farms I share with a friend(3x 16x16, 3x 8x8, 1x 24x24 house) we plant cedars (4x thunderstruck trees so far!)and the mats for the cooking daily quest which is 15g+3Gilda/day and the mats are very labor friendly.
also have a few coops of various types for our own fuel production net around 200 fuel each per week (I got so much **** I'm drowning in it!)

Pack runs I do once-twice a week, make around 16-20 packs and spend a few hours moving them to various high value locations nets decent gold all mats grown on farm so pretty much pure profit.
Fishing I tend to store up 5k LP or use a worker's pot or two and go to town making the gold back so easily it's stupid.. fishing is literally printing money for very little time.

and random pack hunting sessions I tend to use around 500-600LP per run, very easy to get back.

My only gripe is my class (shadowblade Battlerage, shadowplay, witchcraft) and I really should level defence and auramancy but I'm a tad lazy right now we just put in a solid week of work to prep for castle

Hasla is an awful zone but once it's done it's done. Got T1 2h axe in 3hs farming with a group, you will be glad you did it though over spending obscene gold for a weapon.
GHA runs on my server are currently hard to get so I have fairly basic gear and 1/7 heroic GHA leather hopefully in time people will run it more often despite it being a grindy pain.

I pay for patron at the moment , I plan to for another month then use my built up infrastructure to pay patron with in game currency using the companion crusts to recoup most the money for apex.

Selling my level 50 account if anyones interested, fed up of the monumental **** ups from Trion.
 
Well I have had enough already, after the recent exploiting and Trion doing nothing to combat it (temp 24h bans and removal of credits for offenders) I have officially quit.

Frankly the player base has been declining rapidly and someone managed to exploit the items out of my chest despite it only being set to private.
I asked them for a full refund via paypal which they have granted me without trying to communicate about my issues and then banned my account without noticed.
Will never play a Trion game again!
 
So I have this another go last night but it was deserted. I went through the whole of the Eastern continent on Dahuta and saw 2 people total. Uninstalled and another one to mark off as done and dusted. And that is a shame because it had some really good ideas.
