At the moment I have two EVGA Classified 780ti's on order, they were going to be available on 06/12/13 but this has moved to 27/12/13.

In the meantime it has been announced that EVGA are doing a Kingpin edition with specially bined chips. Or putting it the other way, the normal Classified gets the leftovers.

To make matters even worse, I read that Maxwell could be with us by the end of next march.

Would the smart move be to cancel and walk away from this now.

I would wait it out for the binned version to see if its worth it. Since the date has been pushed back to the end of the month, where most couriers will be backed up for a handful of days AND there's a few bank holidays dotted around, it isn't like you have much to lose by seeing how this situation develops in the next few weeks.

I would not cancel on the basis that maxwell will be here at the end of march. most people don't think it will be the high end maxwell if it does show up. If i was cancelling it would be out of rage at the delay they are enforcing upon you.

You will always be waiting... Classifieds are always a little late to the party. To cool not to be ;)

I would wait kaap. You seem to have enough GPU's to keep you busy for a few months. I understand you want the latest, but tbh you wont have them long before Maxwell hits.

Seeing as you have four Titans, four 290Xs, two 690s, etc, etc, I can't imagine you'd be happy with anything but the Kingpin edition. Cancel and wait.

March is still a few months :D.

TBH mate i've been contemplating the same. Also with Kingpin I don't fancy likely having a lesser capable Silicon just because EVGA want to stamp a higher price tag and slap someones name on it.

I think I will cancel

The plan was to use them for some two card benching, but the Kingpin Editions make that a bit pointless.:(

I don't think getting the regular classys for benching is worth it.

Why not get the Galaxy HOF's instead? Well, they will probably take as long as the kingpins.. though the kingpin seems to be ready already.

For gaming you got your rig sorted out already :P

I would cancel Kaap.

I am personally waiting for Maxwell. I anticipate March to May 2014 will be the launch. Planning on buying 2 or 3 of the 880s (or whatever they will be called).

Just cancelled

And have ordered a 4930k for my 290X build instead

It will be interesting to see what runs best in that rig the 4930k or my 3970X
