Are OcUK one of the best quality forums?

no. people can't even make innocous remarks which specifically DO NOT break the rules. Then they get suspended or their threads deleted. It is pointless posting here.

Gotta agree with you there. Currenthly, there is OCUK and another forums that i frequenctly visit, and the other one has disabled all signatures, which is great, and user icons are limited to members with over 1337 posts, and have a strict size limit, which is great, and also here having the themed icons, which are all reasonable sizes makes it a more pleasant experience to browse these forums.

Other forums I've visited tend to have most people's posts shorter than their signatures, and difficult to read because they use text speak :rolleyes: and then there is the general attitude most users have, here most posters are helpful, and amusing, and normaly insults are light hearted, compared to everywhere else where i see arguments throughout every thread two users post in. I think the rules are fair, and think the dons do a great job of keeping everything in order, and if it wasn't for them, I doubt i'd still read these forums ever day :)

The best in the Internet by far, its got everything, great sports fourm, superb motors fourm, amazing general discssion and that is only a 1/4 of OcUK.

Some thread have helped me so much in the 6 months I have been a member.

Yeah that is so annoying...was browsing a forum the other day and someones sig was 1024x768 :eek:
 
There's a lot of things about OcUK that make it better than everywhere else, imho..

The themed avatars of which there are few, the good signature size and strict rules, the colours of the board are much more tasteful than many (this matters!) and personally I like the strict rules and the moderation. Sometimes they may seem a bit strict, but it does work. It makes the forums a nice place to be.
 
I think so, I mean I only used to use the hardware and software sections of OCUK forums until a few months down the line I realised there were a few more.

Like anywhere you do get buffoons, but generally everybody here is of fairly sociable nature :)

What a load of crap.

I've had threads deleted before, all of them made when I was drunk, and to be honest I knew they'd probably go.. they were stupid spammy rubbish, but they were fun for ten minutes, and were gone by the morning.. nothing wrong with that.

If you post crap, I don't see why it shouldn't be deleted.

And genuinely innocuous remarks don't get deleted. I talk loads of crap and barely any of it gets deleted, because I don't tend to break rules..

Call this sucking up if you will (and no doubt you will) but as far as I'm concerned, I like this forum and I've no problem with saying so.

The forum in itself is a single entity and hence should be referred to in third person singular [/counter grammar defensive] :D

Just sounds weird . . . maybe I've been in France too long :(
 
Definitely one of the best!

Is it just me, or has the quick post feature disappeared? If it is just me, how do I get it back as it's one of the best features of the forum!
 
this was the best forum in the world when it had a quick post form, now it sucks though. So when do we get our quick post back?! We neeeeeeeeds it!
