as I just said, if they don't like it and give a reasoned argument why they don't like it...or a constructive critique then that is absolutely fine with me.
but (to reiterate...from the post I made five minutes ago...) "if you just go 'omgzorz that is ****! you must be mentally ill!!!!1' (which unfortunately happens quite often) then I tend to fly off the handle a bit."
there are a few character traits which I truly ****ing despise...
spinelessness; the inability to say exactly what you mean and to skirt around (as so finely displayed by a certain eye-rolling individual in this very thread...). this extends to people who, after having a slightly heated conversation with you, mutter something under their breath. for some reason, this completely makes my bood boil and usually results in me screaming at the person who just did it. why do people do it? are they afraid? do they simply lack the balls to say something to your face?
another is when someone spouts off opinions without qualifying them. I respect anyone who qualifies their view with a reasoned argument or even, at a very base level, provides constructive criticism...but when they simply say 'no.' with no rhyme or reason, I get irked. perhaps I just get frustrated by idiocy?
so while I don't care for your opinion, I can still respect it if you provide it in an intelligent manner.
