Are the 360's really that bad build wise?

My 2nd one died at the weekend (4 months after being replaced), but I know that mine came back with the old cooler design so I figured the problem would happen eventually. On the newer machines with the new cooler there doesn't seem to be anywhere near the same amount of problems as there was with the older versions.
The 3 year guarantee will cover you anyway if indeed you do get a problem in the future.
