Arg! My GF is cursed.

Only time I've had whiplash was when I was skiing and sent myself flying backwards down the hill resulting in me snapping my neck backwards as I hit the floor shoulders first. It was probably a 15mph tumble and I wasn't in any muscular pain that day at all, just a bit dizzy straight after however the following morning I couldn't turn my head.

Took a day or 2 when I was in a crash (as a passenger), but it may have been the more serious pain in my arm/chest hiding it :)

I started feeling the effects of whiplash when someone went into the side of me after 30+ minutes, painful night, constant pain lasted about a week before it started easing, and now frequent pain after I go cycling but I'm pretty much okay.

The insurance company asked 'anyone injured' so naturally say yes, wasn't even thinking about making a claim at that point, and instantly my details were passed on to their 'referral solictors' I've had sooo many calls and not in one of them has anyone understood that I don't want to 'profit from someone elses misfortune' and I only care about the excess I've had to pay (which I should get back) after about three weeks of hassle calls they're beginning to understand and are going to close the case.

Honestly, feeling harrassed by the solictors lasted longer than whiplash did.

I let my girl loose on my car once and never again, after stalling it about 4 times and rolling back on a hill she tells me shes passed on a manual but drove an auto only in Oz for 5 years. I let her drive my mums auto micra occasionly as shes a named driver.
