Argh Acne!

Ive been on roaccutane twice.

But my advice to you is to:

Drink lots of water
Cleanse twice a day - Using a light facewash, moisturise if need be.
Take a good multivitamin
Exercise

I only used it on my face and I found it bleached my t-shirts around the neck area.

Also, if you don't wash your hands thoroughly it will still be on your fingers.

Salicyclic acid doesnt bleach ;)

It's worth seeing your doctor if it's persistant - you can get creams containing antibacterials that can't be sold over the counter.

not eating chocolate is a myth :)

No, its not. I had spots for years and had choc a few times a week. Stopped eating it, stopped getting spots. Had a bit, got spots, replicated this effect a few times ;)

I'm willing to accept thats its not "chocolate" per se that causes it but one or a combination of the ingredients. Its not milk though.

There may be a lack of publications on the subject but my own research is legit.

generally I don't think it's the foods you eat but mostly its your hands. You eat fatty foods and chocolate and it gets on your hands not enough to be highly visible but it's there, then during the day you scratch your face or touch it etc and all the little food particles end up in your pores resulting in the spots.

Try washing you hands and face after meals especially if you've used your hands, also if you've got long ish hair that tends to get slightly greasy its the same situation where you run your fingers through your hair then touch your face.

So generally try and avoid hand to face contact, it's hard as its often and unconscious action but it can help.

Might sound wacko moonbat rubbish, but ignoring them and not worrying about them helps make them go away. Really. I had a Hare Krishna friend who used to say this to me. "Stop giving them power" he'd warn :) Actually there's some scientific value in this thinking - your mind and mental state can have a significant effect on your health and physiology.

Of course I thought my friend was taking rubbish. Then my hair started falling out, and guess what, the spots dried up as I started worrying about being bald instead. True that.

Bald as snooker ball now. And no spots.

Diet can have an effect on spots, but not for everyone.

The apparent fact that chocolate / sugar = spots is just not quite right.
