Well another hectic night on our server. I walk in the door to eat dinner and get a message saying we are being raided! Dinner goes cold while we fight off the spino, several carnos and brontosaurus attacking or base after they launched rockets at it. Thankfully our base design worked in our favour and after c4ing through 3 doors (thankfully we had a spare to quickly put in place) they still hadn't breached any of the storage rooms.

They got greedy and we knew we were going to hold out when they started coming at us with pikes. Several pick ups with our last remaining bird and they gave back the gear they looted from our corpses and left short of quite a few dinosaurs. One hell of a raid though!

We've now created an outer skin of stone to repel rpg salvos and got 2 of our turrets back online. Sadly we still need to tame a bunch more pets to replace the ones the spino ate.

Originally our outer door opened into a hallway with a door either side, and those doors were then followed by a further door into the actual base. 3 doors to break before entry. We have now surrounded the base by a wall of stone (and stone foundation) directly outside of that. So there is effectively an outer stone wall and then layers if metal to traverse. Upstairs we have self contained rooms with Windows to shoot out of in case of a defense. Gear is easily retrieved if you get sniped. On top we have 2 turrets, to be followed by 2 more. Only access to the base is via air or by a ladder with a steel door to break, so no more land dinosaurs to break stuff.
 
My friends and I will be picking this up over the weekend, looks Ok.

It's not too incomplete/buggy is it. Always dubious over picking up early access games (mostly thanks to dayz)!
 
official servers are now down for 15mins for updates, just as i was cooking meat as im starving! and did not get time to go back to camp... ill just keep trying to get back in asap

new patch kills game new patch just released again restart steam to get it
