I'll be installing this later... is it as good as it seems? :)

I got bored of Bioshock 2 and Just Cause 2 so thought I'd give it a go... :)

Excellent single player game, fantastic story and very good graphics. Its a beat um up, investigation type game with a lot of good voice acting.

I'd recommend getting a 360 pad or a PS3 pad hooked up to your PC for this one, its a tad tricky with keyboard and mouse.

It's so rare to see this type of game on the PC. I enjoyed every minute of it and I am looking so much forward to a sequel. One of the only games I've tried to get everything done on it!

I'd easily recommend it. It's one of the best games I've played in a very long time.

Cheers chaps, I have a 360 pad already. I really struggle to get on with it for anything other than MAME though - even GTA IV, I find more playable with KB/Mouse... :)

How many hours of gameplay is there in single player mode?

God it took me an age. I'd make sure you play it on a relevant difficulty level (i.e. make it a challenge but not so hard as you want to stab yourself).

I think I completed it over a week but I did spend a lot of time on it - then I went and got all of the riddles done which took a little while longer.

I would also recommend the 360 pad - fantastic for this type of game.

Depends, you'll get about 8 - 10 hours maybe. Its not the hardest game to beat. Has a few moments, but overall it'll be 8 - 10 hours of fun. and the whole story will drive you through meaning you'll not bore of it.

I've played it through on PC and PS3 quite a few times now, really is a very good game.

True, completing the game to 100% will take some time, but to complete the story shouldn't take too long. some of the riddles are a bit tricky but not impossible.

Magnificent game.

However I'll be the first to say I don't like using a 360 for anything that doesn't involve driving. No problems with the M+K at all, much more freedom.

It's great, though the boss battles are repetitive and GFWL and its retarded encrypted save system sucks. (I couldn't transfer my Batman saves onto my new Windows 7 install, because they were locked to my XP OS.)

Yeah I reformatted and didn't realise the hoops I had to jump through to back my saves up... Lost them all and I was about half an hour from the end of the game.

Other than the saves, it's great though.

The voice actors in this game are top notch. The characters really come to life. One of the best games ever made, frankly.

Yes that is a good point. The save game system is a nightmare. If you play in offline mode and then play using your live ID, you can't transfer the same offline saves to online. Its really stupid, and I lost a few hours gameplay because of that.

GFWL does suck at times. you need to be online to earn the achivements, not that this means much, just be aware if you start in offline mode in GFWL then going online means it might not transfer your save games across...

This isn't the fault of the game, its how GFWL works. Grrr..!!

Played it through twice now, second time I got all the collectables. That's given me 50 hours of gaming so far and I haven't completed the challenge modes yet. One of the best games in years. I found it easier with KB and mouse control.

I played with KB&M too. Had no real problems apart from using the dodge move. The mouse controlled camera actually gives you an advantage because it enables you to track and attack enemies faster.

It does have some of the best voice acting ever too. Mark Hamill as the Joker is amazing.

Loved Batman AA, my first go at it was hindered by a dodgy 4870 which liked to crash at seemingly random intervals. Got back into when I replaced the card and for the first time in any game I was actually enjoying working toward 100% completion and getting pretty close. Then my save became corrupt :(.

Still tempted to dig it out though even if I have to start all over again.
